Yeahhh, so easy, but all those mp3s are mostly part of FTP severs, and you can't download without the login info  .

Nope, I wasn't on my own PC. I felt it necessary to install it on the college computers, because downloading MP3's at home takes 20-30 mins on average.

Nah, it's off my toolbar, it's under the pulldown menu Tools, right under the blue bar.

i never liked Direct Connect, becuase you have to have GIGS (like 5+, 10+) of files that you want to share in order to download from the rooms. The hosts of the room won't let you download unless you have the minimum amount of gigs that they require. The rooms with low gig requirements usually have users that have nothing you'd want. So its sort of paradoxical, how am i supposed get my files up to 5 gig, when there's nothing that i can download?
i couldn't find much on there anyway, musicwise. i guess it's good for software, and you get pretty fast download rates.
I tried soulseek at my college computer lab,but that software isn't good for that type of usage (i don't have any files to share with me, and i'm only sticking around for an hour or 2 tops. hmm....i guess no program isn't good for that type of usage)
too many 'gray' users
it's only good if you got a connection at home that you leave on all the time, cable modem, dsl etc, so you pick what you want to download and hope it's all downloaded tomorrow.
that kinda sucks

Ya i found that to be a problem too. some of those stupid servers wanted like 120GB of shared files before they let you in. Who the hell has 120 gb of shit on their computer. even if i did, it wouldnt be anything good.
if you type metal as the server filter, there a couple metal hubs but you still need 5gb-10 to share. I guess thats why there so much available. It sucks for mp3s but its good for videos thats for sure.
