As promised, here is the Stairway to Heaven thread!!
For those who don't know the place, here a little introduction... it's a hardrock cafe in Utrecht, close to the Central Station.

They have awesome music there, vary from KoRn, Limp Bizkit, Life of Agony and other of those kick ass bands and Trance music...yeah!!! it kicks ass!!

Last Saturday I was there with a friend of mine, and saw there "sanderinos" drinking beer with friends...

Hahaha, it was very cool...
Though I broke accidently a glass with beer in it... that hurts

Have you stayed long in the Stair Sanderinos?

Sometimes they have a metal night, called "Hell Awaits" where they play metal like, slayer, dimmu borgir, immortal, ancient, cradle , pantera, and many more...

Lol well sanderinos was there i know but he went to a small rockcafe called Boothill, they played ok music in Boothill, but Stairway to heaven aint a rockcafe anymore, i mean if they start playing sucky music like Limp Bizkit, Korn and Yes also Trance and HIP HOP, then the name ROCK Cafe isn't a good name for it, stairway used to be an ok place and in summer in daytime when people can sit outside the cafe with a beer in their hand enjoying the good weather, Than its ok but saterday night??? It actualy sucks if you ask me.... personaly i prefer the good old cafe belgie(Belgium) it's a small beer cafe with lots and lots of different kinds of beer(read over 200 different types of beer) and Boothill saterday night, then you can hear the good bands like Emperor, Dimmu, Cannibal corpse, ect. Just the good old black and death metal music) although they also play Led Zeppelin, ACDC, metallica ect but thats what a rock cafe is for huh)


lol i had a good time in Boothill first time in months again. ... can't say that i have had a good time in Stairway to heaven for a long time.

yeah, you can't call it a rock cafe anymore, fridays and saturday night, the music is awful... probably they have a cheap DJ...hahaha.

Boothill isn't that cool nowadays, there are a lot of 16-20 years kids who are just into metal. It's so funny to see, all with an evil band-shirt and short hair . Getting drunk with only a few beers hahaha

Well the music is good there, you can bring your own metal collection to it, and they play it the whole evening...well at least of mines...but i know the most behind the bar for 8 years.

When I'm there is a lot of viking metal and gotheborg metal...kicks ass.

Yeah...as Bierfanaat says, in summer is Stairway quite nice, sitting outside with a beer, listening to some blues music

I'm there every week, at LEAST twice a week, allways on friday's after I went to school in Utrecht at about 4/5 o'clock (snack attack, haha)

sometimes they have good music but only if you ask for it, because at day its poseur paradise. I saw sanderinos walk around there a while ago I think, but I was to bummed to say anything I think, uh, I'll see him there another time,

darkenelf, do you ever visit the boothill anymore? I allways bring my own cds too, and play a round of pool, owning and challenging everyone there.

Cafe Belgie is a crap place but they do have good beer, and a lot too, damn, choices, choices...

yeah I sometimes visit it, most on friday or saturday night. But the last few weeks haven't been there, cause it's a long far walk from the central station.
I play pool also there a lot.

Yeah, busline 12 stops there but only at crappy hours and its definetly is a LONG walk, so thats why I usually go to the stairway.

uh, we guys should just meet up next week, I allready planned to meet up with Sander again next week, we have a lot of Graspop Metal Meeting memories to bring up, hehe!

Well, it was aweful musically but I still had a good time... But as allways I know not to expect good music anywhere in a cafe so that don't matter.
Was very surprised to see (the short hared) DarkenElf come in and break a glas, making splinters of glass enter my fingers!

But I stayed until 2 or something, after that I went to the boothill. Where I made a deal with the bar tender so that he would play Emperor for me. So my weekend was... well drunk

If anyone is interested in visiting the boothill/stairway next week on weekdays, I'm in, only not in the evenings since I have to take the fucking train, however, afternoon drunkyness is a good habit of mine. any day except friday and the weekend (exams/plans)

yeah, After Eight years having long hair, was time to get something different.

I got whole next week off except friday, so I'm pretty flexible, how's about you Sander?

ofcourse, every dutchy on the board is invited, even pubic hairs, I'de like to make fun of him in real life.

I can only on monday, tuesday and wednesday next week, next thursday im in Zutphen till late. After that I have the weekend standby, so after that week, I can almost every day.

I work till 4 p.m.

I had a gig last saturday and my guitar got stolen (that was in 'Unitas' Wageningen)

Ouch, that must hurt! Though Unitas is quite a cool place, went there a couple of times. A friend of mine works there behind the bar.

Cool, yeah, they have some cool rooms, but at new years this year the music was crap.

I heard they have to close sometime soon, do you know more about that? they do a lot for music locally, even that radio program with local bands and shit.

it sure does hurt though I'm trying to find the bastard, but I don't think i'll have any luck. allready contacted music stores in the area to keep an eye out. it was a black jackson dkmg. I'm looking for a new guitar now, either an RG or a dinky/stealth again.

I have 3 exams on friday (the 6th), from 12-14, from 14-16 and 16-18.00

and I gotta get up at 5 in the morning at saturday to drag my ass to work

any other friday would be okay though, maybe even coming friday?

Ok Friday the 6th feb, I can't either. Any Friday after that, I can come as well. This friday maybe in the afternoon. I have a day off...and think I was going to a metal concert in the evening, not sure about it yet.
