My friend from up North of me, commited suicide about 5 weeks ago, we had two people commit it in my town alone. Its not the best place to live. Anyways, I am sorry about the DEF post, it made me look like an idiot. But just so you know, I am sorta stressed out... my bad, that may sound like I am weak, but it sucks losing a friend...

My advice is to practice your ass off on bass. Write some tunes. It helps. or at least for me.

To relieve depression, i suggest just listening to music. I went through some depression during late spring and early summer, and the only thing that kept me going was music. I was alone, didn't have a friend for literally 600km (i was far from home).....so i just played and listened to some tunes and it made everything go away.

Music helps. Read some philosophy too. For depression I suggest Epictetus, Arthur Scopenhour, and Friedrich Nietzshe.

Nietzshe said that Depression (as well as all negative emotions) should not be ignored or drowned in alcohol or drugs. We should look at the problems like a gardener. At roots, plants can be odd and unpleasnet, buit a person with knowledgable faith in their potential will lead them to bear beautiful flowers and fruit. I think that you blew up on Def becasue you let Def get to you. And that, tragic as it is, you took a event that happened 5 weeks ago and used it as a scapegoat. You are responsible for your auctions; not outside events.

As for some consolation about death, Epictetus tells us:

In other words, men are not distrubed by the things that happen, but by the opinion of them. Look at New Orleans; when someone dies there they do not have a funeral, they have a celebration that he has gone to a better place.

definatly! Obituary makes me happy no matter what. But thats only cause I've listened to them for yeeeears and had some real good times when they were playing. Alright I will download some of that stuff tonight, no this event didn't happen 5 weeks ago, because I forgot to put a comma where it said 5 weeks ago and about my town, my friend died 2 weeks ago, but around 5 and now half weeks ago 2 people in my own town commited suicide in 2 nights, it was crazy anyways, thank you, I just needed some advice on what to do rather than cut my wrists again.

people die, its a given fact of life, live with it man, I've seen death from closeby too, but theres and end to everything, just remember that, so spend you days wisely and dont drown in your own problems, just live your life day by day and be sure to have a good ammount of fun while you're at it.

Cut your wrists? I agree with Def..its a total cry for help. If you "attempt" to commit suicide then either your a complete idiot that dosen't know how to kill himself or just wants attention. Its ok to have sorrow over a loss, but to let it rule your life is immature. I agree with the past 2 posts. People who commit suicide yet are unsuccesful at it are morons starving for attention. Especially those who bring up their past attempts in conversations "don't need to cut my wrists again".

I don't want to be a sarcastic asshole in a time of "crisis", but that's just who i am. So here goes. How the goddamn fuck can you not kill yourself by cutting your wrists? Do you just scrap the skin with a butter knife and have a tiny drop of blood pour out? If you want out of this world, i'd think you'd be compeled to do so in a way that will garentee your departure quick and easy. No suffering, cause you've already suffered too much right?

Why not jump off a bridge headfirst right before an eighteen-wheeler slams into you? I'm sure you'd die there. Or how about swallowing a bullet? If you're an american it shouldn't be too hard to find a firearm. There's many ways to garentee your death....it just seems the common thing to do is to slit your wrists, which in fact gives you much suffering until you pass out, and will probably last at least 10 minutes before you die, if not more.

Hell, just go to a hardware store and by Rat poison and drink the whole bottle.

Exactly. Suicide is a permenant solution to a temporary problem. It shows weakness and leaves behind more suffering than before and a weak image of yourself.

I find it amusing when people slip into conversations about suicide that they cut their wrists..and as soon as they do everyone is crypically bragging about their experience. Is it something your proud of? Its a reflection of character.
