Well, I'm still a youngin(well..18 in March)...and I was just wondering what jobs you guys(and the exceptional girl) have had/has?

I was a Paper Boy for 3 years when I was 11.
I worked at my Uncle's Tire Garage for awhile when i dropped outta school, back breaking labour fucking blows.
And I used to help my friend sell drugs.


I'm currently un employed cause Im back in school and well...pretty fucking lazy.

I used to work at an assisted living community. I did everything. Mow, edge, weed eat, and blow. Inside I was the only maintenance boy, other than me the only other one was my supervisor. I remember painting a room once, fixing the a/c unit, and putting paper towels when the bathrooms ran out.
Then my mom was fired, so she started up a TCBY/Mrs.Fields. Over this past summer I helped her out around the store, cash register, making orders, and stocking.
Now I am a full time student at college, so I don't have time for a job. I'm practicing like hell so I can be a successful musician...slowly minimizing my financial aid....

My first job was baby sitting my neighbor's kids. They used to ask their mom and dad to go places cuz they wanted me to come over and play. I think I was in 7th grade and they were 3 and 4. I babysat them for years. They're about 30-something now.
My next job was at a small bakery. Almost everyone there was related. The owners both were in the shop most of the time. The dishwasher was deaf, but a very nice lady. She could slam the pans and we'd all yell her name , but she couldn't hear any of it. MILDRED !!! Anyways, the owners parents were from England and cae to Ellis Island back in the day. They complained about all the foreigners here and they never lost their accents. Whenever Pa ,as we called him, would speak Italian , which he knew a little of, Grandma B would hit him ! They were both right around 80 and she was a little bit of a thing. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Pa was blind, too. He'd slice bread and buns with the slicing machines. And he'd bag buns and stuff, but sometimes they looked a little odd. Their daughter, the boss's sister, ended up becoming my mother-in-law. She fixed me up with her Navy son because he didn't know anyone in town and I wasn't his type. (HA!) His uncle worked their, too. There was a kid who baked and did deliveries. And me, I was a dishwasher and clerk. What a place that was ! The NEO Golden Gloves boxing commisioner lived behind it and he and his wife were somethign else. He fought bantam weight long ago.

Then I stayed at home with my kids til we got a divorce. Now I've been back with him 5 or 6 years. But I went to work at my friend's ice cream shop. THat was a scream. I was night manager for some crazy teenage girls. Did we have fun ! And that's the only time I ever walked off a job. The last day me and the day manager were cleaning up and she yelled at me for doing too much the night before so I told her to do it herself and walked out. I went home and called my friend, her boss.

Then I was hired at the local Holiday Inn as a dishwasher, but I learned how to cook a lot there, too. Moreso than when I was married. And I also worked at the front desk and in housekeeping. I did vending units and public access, ran room services, fixed commodes. I knew where things were that some staff didn't even know we had.

And then I was recommended for the job I have now. I started as a relief cook/domestic, but now, after my first 7 years ,we have to have Core training for Team Leader Child Care . It's extremely interesting, but I still want to stay 'just a cook'. The kids are allowed to come into the kitchen of the Treatment Center now, and I always have had a good time with them. No problems so far. But once I have P.A.A.R. , which is a physical restraint training, I'll have them in there without other staff. Not real keen on that, but I'll use my own discretion. So e of the kids I'd never have a problem with. Shoot, one came home and stayed .

And I did various craft fairs selling ceramics and sewing things. Wally used to go with me and he was a dynamite little salesmen.

And I'm 45 ,female, and Walpurgis' mom . Just incase anyone was wondering.

Then i did once the inventory in asmall store, which just sold unecessary stuff. That was really bad.
Since about 5 years i work in the summer-holidays as a garbage-worker! That'S lot of fun and you get much money!!!!
And i was one year a trainee as a "biological lab-helper". The pig-drilling-job as some may remember.

-ICT DESIGN (representative for the webdesign department of this company)

-Car company Visscher (Garage Cleaner .. this is the job i am having now)

im a life guard in the summer,but i dont have a job now

I worked at printing photos for 5 years just stopped, dont think it was doin my health any good , all those chemicals..... i did merchandising for coca cola for a summer, now in doin deliverys and i have loadsa time for guitar and my band

The only job Ive had is babysitting for my parents, I need a real job, bad. Id love working at the guitar shop here, get paid for "testing" guitars all day

First job was a paper route which i held for 3 years. Then i went through the normal "teen" jobs:
Burger King
Toys R Us
Zellers

Then i landed a sweet job with my ex-girlfriend's boss at IST Canada. I was a Production Operator, making detectors and emitters for nuclear reactors.

After about 10 months, thing went ary and i moved back here, and now i currently work at a kid's educational toy store which pays me to basically walk around the store for 8 hours. It's nice.

Then i worked at Staples for a lil less then a year...and then i got sick of their shit and quit...

Then i got Cert. in A+ and CISCO...CCNA and CCNP

THen i got a job for Cal Energy working as a welder/Mechanic at a GEO Thermal plant

and now i work with a friend of mine whose dad is a doctor... basically then pay me about 20+ dollars an hour to file ...but we sit around and drink beer while we work sometimes cuz no one else is there... nothing better then getting paid to drink...

but at the moment im going back to school for more computer shit... MCSE etc
then i will be making damn good money

I work in a fast food place called "Cinnabon"... They are a bunch of "Clean Nazis". And its hot as hell working there because of the ovens, mall heat, hot proofers for the buns, steam from the hot water from the sinks, and the insanity of serving holiday shoppers.

The mo st boring job I had was helping my dad when he had to quit working cuz of cancer. We put 1/2" nuts and bolts together to go into those big green boxes by the road for the gas company. They had to be threaded on only 3 turns or they wouldn't go in the machine. The bolts were brass and the nuts, aluminum. They had burrs and metal shavings and my fingers hurt like heck after doing those all day. There were 2,000 to a box and we got $7.00 a box.
Dad called one day and asked if I wanted half of his boxes to do at my house. I figured it would be 2 or 3 at the most. He showed up with 7 and told me the guy wanted them back in 2 days. That was horrible.

I´ve used to work with my dad sometimes. He's a doctor, and a few times he goes to football (soccer) games, i don't know if in every country is like in Argentina, but here some people goes drunk, drugged, etc. and a lot of times there are fights between the two team's supporters....
Well, my dad is there to heal them....
The point is i was there with the medical group, with the little car that enters when a player gets hurt.

Now I'm currently working in a tv channel, in the videograph area.

Ive worked at subway, A pizza place up here, but by far the best job Ive had was roofing over this summer. I worked at habitat for humanity(stupid fucking probation) and met this guy who hooked me up with a roofing/carpentry job over this summer for 18 bucks an hour. Sorry but after making 7.15 at subway, Hell yes.


In case your wondering why I was on probation, I was playing in a high school hockey game last year (sophmore year) and I was the only sophmore in our district to make varcity and so I got bs'ed by a bunch of seniors and you know the rest. ANYWAY One game this fucker started shit, we got in a fight, he broke his arm and all of a sudden im a fellon.

does money really make you that happy? I have an (honest) job which earns me a hundred bucks a day, I only work on saturday and on some saturdayevenings I work behind a bar (60 and evening - 4 hours)
actually thats all I need too.

Try having no job. Getting no music equipment. No cds. No beer. No nothing. And try living in a state where NO ONE hires unless you're a minority. So yeah, drugs are the solution. Its not that money makes me happy but not being able to buy anything makes me depressed.
