HI, Im just wondering since we all play guitar most of us are prob in bands??? Well I am and Im trying to get my band playing outside of Ireland (as there isnt much of a metal scene for the vein of metal that we play). I was wondering if there is anyone out there would be will to do a kind of tour thing wwith us, maybe aim for next summer. We maybe playin in Texas in march. We have done quite a bit for ourselves here, we have supported Machine Head, Suicidle Tendencies, (Irish tour) with Rollin Band, Paradise Lost and CycleFly we were due to support MushroomHead but they cancelled there show here. If anyone is interested stick a post up here ad maybe we could organise something. Cheers

Well, I have a three man jam band; guitar, bass, and drums. We've never gigged before and like I said, it's a jam band. We have no "songs" or "singing." We just jam for like 3 hours every couple of days. Rusty Ceder is our name. I live in Denton, at the University of North Texas. We would probably get access to a local bar, and open for you for a while until you kick us off the stage, cause we wouldn't know how to end. And about the touring thing, most likely not. What's you band's name? BTW, we're not metal, more of a hard rock band with a death metal pedal, haha.

Meh, I'de like that kinda stuff but its impossible with studies and travel fare, you have no idea how much it costs to get your gear over the sea.
good luck anyways, try advertising in pubs/clubs and check out band's webpages, maybe theres some fucks close to you which you don't even know about.

tatter3d, ye dude we did play with Machiine Head. Just a couple of weeks ago on Haloween on the first night of the TTAOE tour

powersofterror : were called eyesclosed, we applied for thesouth by southwest gig in Texas, I believe its from the 17th - 23rd of march. Our manager was in Texas and he said there was a great scene for metal there so I just thought if we got the gig it may be nice to play a gig or 2 while were there (if we get there....lol)

The South by Southwest Music Festival is located in Austin, if you didn't know that. And speak of the devil, I applied to it too. Not with the rock band, but with another band I'm in. It's called Requiem Revival, and you can't classify it into a genra because I have no fucking clue what it is. String bass, harp, acoustic guitar, flute, and a singer. We have three main songs that were put onto the demo.
