on saturday at Yorba Linda there was alot of Ash falling from the sky and
the skies were turning orange. People cupped their hands over their mouths
to prevent from inhaling the ashes. The sun appears to be a little dim and
at 12:00 pm the sun suddenly dissapeared. Coming back from Home Depot it
began to get really cold and I went running to my cheap ass car. I drove more
nearby Irvine and it seemed ok and there wasn't much going on except for
ashes falling.

now, through my persceptive it looked like armagedeon (can't spell it)
and it seemed we were in deep trouble. Anyone live by the OC and experienced
this?

Hadn't heard that but I remember hearing of frogs being picked up in a storm and dropping in Texas or somewhere down south like that.
We had an incident here about 10 years ago where there was a natural atomic boom that cracked sidewalks and wrecked some buildings up towards Cleveland. The western sky was yellow like the lines on the road. I've got pictures of it somewhere around here. That was really weird.

Its because of the major fire in Rancho Coca Mongo. The only fire this big happend 51 years ago. If you live in Califonira I don't see how you could have missed this. Its on every front page on every newspaper and is plaguing the news channels, sorta like the recall shit.

Its pretty cool though. It is defenatly like Armageddon. The sun was literaly bright orange and extreamly windy while ashes stung your eyes. It rules!

I've seen that a couple of times. The whole sky going orange thing, that is. Whoever said it was right, it's caused by big arse bush fires & looks seriously fucking weird. All the animals either cruise or shut the hell up, so it's usually a real eerie quiet as well. Fookin' odd stuff.

Living in the same place as the afore-mentioned fire weirditude (Darwin, top of Australia - bottom in terms of class), we also had a couple of cyclone threats (hurricanes for the Northern hemisphere-dwellers) where everything goes really still & quiet too. Creepy shit, I recommend it to everyone.

Also, one time, a huge fucking cloud of smoke travelled all the way from these gigantic forest fires in Java, Indonesia, which really fucked everything up. We couldn't see the road for the smoke & we were a couple of thousand kilometres away....yummy!

The moral of the story: Darwin is a shithole. Only ever go there to either see or create smoke.
