Our band's manager happened to meet the guy who manages and is setting up the upcoming Good Charlette US tour, they are apparently looking for 3 more bands and our manager gave him a demo cd, he liked it and is going to give us a final answer in 2 weeks. If the guy is legit and it's on do you think we should do it?
It would be death metal opening for GC, the band and I are thinking of doing it, just to rip off the heads of the little teenie-bop kids...
We'd get paid shit but it could be fun

I'm just asking for opinions, people here won't sway us from saying yes if it comes to it. Sorry if the way I worded it made it seem so, I know this is no advice column. Anyways ripping them (GC) would happen, it just depends when. If it was a one time thing for only here in CO, then it would happen that night, if it was a tour then it would happen on the last date, just a matter of time.
Far-fetched possibility but just maybe...

Well we actually know a couple people in the underground scene, my band is just coming up (only played 5 shows) and we've told some metalheads of ours and if it happens, they're gonna show up and start a pit and contribute to the hatred of the little ones.

Here is what I think would happen. You will get booed and have stuff thrown at you at every show. Still, the exposure is worth more than a few bottles to the crotch. Do it without a doubt. If you pass on it, you will regret it for a long time.

First of all, i doubt anyone will throw anything. If someone does get thrown, it might happen once every couple of shows. This isn't Woodstock 99 we're talking about, it's a bunch of 14 year old kids who are angry at their rich parents.
I've thought about a similar situation myself, and i don't know what i'd do....i guess i need to be put into that situation to make a decision. I'm basically torn 1/2 and 1/2.

Um.. yeah I would agree with everyone in this thread who basically said, "Go for it." I really wouldn't worry about getting 'bottles' and such thrown at you... maybe a stick (hehe.)
