some good political authors
what are some good political authors, and some good books by them or to start off on to get their style and to see if i'll liek them enough to read more of their stuff or not.
I've just recently started Noam Chomsky - American Power and the new mandarins. And even though it was first published in 1966 and talks mainly about vietnam, i have the new 2002 copy with a forward by howard zinn, it still kicks ass. The mans a genious so far, from what i read. And i'm really into this kinda stuff.
so, any suggestions? thanks in advance.

They think they can turn anyone into Commie Scum with THAT reading list?? Bah and pah. If there's something I like less than hippies, it's arrogant hippies. The idea of a metalhead reading Beyond Good and Evil is for the most part ridiculous.
Read P.J. O'Rourke. In politics or social commentary, style is more important than substance.

can't go wrong with George F. Will.
his editorials are outstanding, although, his writing is so formal
it's really hard to get what he's saying.
in one of his books he describes how middle school should be taken out
and have two years of high school, because of kids today are adults in
high school, and that shouldn't be. something like that, you'd have to read
yourself.

Anything political or in a opinionated subject is interesting and good to read, even if you tottaly disagree with it. That way while in a debut you actually know what your talking about, and where they are coming from.

i was actually thinking of buying mein kampf the other day. I admire hitler's ways of a speaker, and his leadership abilities. Some of his beliefs and thoughts i disagree with, but eitherway, the man was an great speaker. He could make 20 kids at mcdonalds buy a sandwich made with dog shit and thrown away fries taken from the garbage out frount.

I agree with that. Some of his beliefs
were good!I also want to read the book.
I talked with some
neonazis recently and their ideas had no relation to the ones of Hitler!!
They were talking for a united europe and that the world should be divided in
three kingdoms based on race:White,Black and Yellow(with this
way they would be together with Jews!!haha).I think that's stupid
it's better to be divided by nations as it is of course(though I don't
think for much longer)

Thats not Nietzsche's best. I Always favored "The Birth of Tradegy" and "Beyond Good and Evil"
At the risk of being flamed by some 3rd generation Holocaust Surviver (what a bullshit term) Hitler was a very smart man. Yes, I said man, not a monster. Everything from how he manipulated the govermental system in Germany to the insanly efficent ways he exterminated the Jews, Gypsys, and others. The National Socialist system of goverment is somewhat flawed, but it could work. I can symtasize(sp) with Hitler, maybe not to reinstating the Holocaust, but we sure as fuck shouldnt be supporting Israel like we are.
