resistor values
i need some help working ou the values of resistors by thier coloured bands.
this is the info i have
the first two colour bands represent the numbers in the value, and the third band represents the multiplyer, or numberof zero's to add after the numbers. the codeis
black 1
brown 2
red 3
orange 4
yellow 5
green 6
blue 7
violet 8
grey 9
white 0
so a [brown-black-red] resistor is 1 k,
a [yellow-violet-orange] resistor is 47k,
a [red-red-green] resistor is 2.2m
and so on
but when i work out the values that are given as examples the answers dont match
do i
1. times the brown and black then times the answer by red
2. add the brown and black then times the answer by red
this is confusing
