I just talked to Wally and he said tell everyone 'HI' !! So HI !
He's passing his courses with 5.0's and a 4.72 so, look out world, Wally gets to be just what he wanted to be --in charge of a nuclear reactor !!!! Very elite group. He said he's seen what his quarters will look like at school and they're really sweet. He's very happy. But he's unhappy cuz he won't get to come home after bootcamp. He has to go directly to school. If I wasn't an ex-Navy wife I'd probably be having a fit, but I know how they work so it's cool. He should get to come home after that though. He passed his PT which is what he was worried about. He runs a mile 8 minutes less time than when he began. He's required to do it in 12.15 but made it in 12. He needed all these qualifications or he wouldn't be sent to nuke school.

Well, I'll let you all know when I hear more as promised. If you want to pm me instead of bumping things up here, feel free or if a mod wants to sticky this for a couple days and then let it drift , that's cool , too. I don't wanna seem greedy but that's my boy !!!

Yesterday he was the happiest I'd known him to be since he got there. Before when I had said he was sick since day 3, I never even thought about it, but he got his flu shot then. That's probably what made him sick for 3 weeks. He was healthy as a horse before he left. That had to be it. They stick you for all kinds of stuff and when y ou go overseas they stick ya more.

Well, I'm gonna study for my darn test I'll have to take again tomorrow. My brain ain't set up for this extra edjmakayshun stuf.

Yeah, I gotta take Child Care Worker ,Tier 1 classes since I cook in a treatment center for kids. I guess within a few years all school-like facilities are going to require it, but some of this stuff is way beyond me. Ask me about machine maintenance or recipes and I'm fine. I've cooked there for 7 years and now this ! Oh, the humanity !! I keep saying duct tape is a wunnerful thing for kids. (It worked with Wally.)
Nah, it's interesting, but I can't see how it's going to do anything for my particular job !
