Who the fuck is Bela Lugosi?
Yeah, who is he?
I assume it is a he. After listening to Opera IX's coversong Bela Lugosi's Dead, I started wondering: "who's dead?"
I think I have heard the name in some movie-related conversation earlier, but not sure. Help me rid myself of the demons in my head. Thanx.

Ah, he was one of those magnificant actors that will live in my heart next to Lon Cheney, Jr. and Vincent Price. What the guy before me said. The old B&W movies that were the most popular with Dracula as a character had him in them. There was a woman who played in a sequel about Countess Alucard, too. I can't remember if he was in that or not.
If anyone is a Mel Brooks fan watch, some old Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. Then watch Young Frankenstein. It'll make a lot more sense. Wonderful parody of classic Frank's . Ask Wally sometime. He'll tell ya ! I trained 'em right.

The town he's from is only Romanian now. When he was born there it was Hungarian.

I thought the movie character,Dracula, was Romanian. Wasn't Bela himself Italian or something like that. It been a looong time since I 'd seen those movies. They used to be late at night and on Saturday afternoon when I was a teen and in my early 20's.

I've seen Ed Wood, it's cool and weird.
Lugosi's Hungarian, and Dracula is traditionally Romanian, but anywhere in the Carpathian mountain region is okay for an American audience. Well, anywhere in Europe, really.

okay, thanks for straightening out my facts.
Bela's been dead for years. I eas watcing "The Shootist " last night with John Wayne in it. John Carradine was in it, too. He was another good ole timer.

Also Bela Lugosis dead is a song by Bauhaus , cult goth band and for many the band that started the whole goth movement (nowadays a trend)
