Animals and Heavy Metal
Animals must have different hearing frequencies to us.
Whenever I play classical music with high notes, my cat freaks. She fucking hates it.
Right now she is sitting quietly and happily through The Crown and Anthax played at force 10, not a two feet from the speakers. And she's purring.

my dog stays when i play guitar, he doesn't mind it most of the time, and he doesn't mind if i have the metal coming from the TV or computer speakers, but if its the stereo next to my bed (where he usually is, on my bed) then he gets up and leaves. Unless of course its not metal.

I think it was looking for other dogs to start a moshpit or something, that dog gets the creeps when he hears bach and regular music, dogs are weird...
cats, I never seen the effect of metal on cats, but it probably depends what kind of brand you've got.

My drummers fuckin dog chews on everything during practice. One time we were playin and then all of the sudden....no more bass.....fuckin dog chewed through the chord while our old bassist was playing. We have had to solder so many fuckin chords back together cuz of that god damn dog.
