Why I Joined
I was going to join here in 05 when dimebag was murderd but i was put off by some of the comments but i have since become a Born Again Christian and am a member of Brothers In Christ and therefore felt bad for judging other peoples lifes and words and decided to join up finaly and live and let live. I hope to share my love of metal and guitar playing here but i also hope i can talk about Christ from time to time and have a discussion going.Dont worry im not gunna try to convert anyone lol i just want to make sure ive done my part by at least saying His name every now and a gain.

When you say "you can stop it now" do you mean I can go ahead and ban him or do you think it's actually me trolling and you're telling me to stop?
If you want him banned you'll have to get PST on the case - his kind never passes up the chance to nail a Christ-lover (pun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

In a world, where every member of every single religion would take their holy laws and holy books literally and I mean really literal(!) there'd be so much misogynism, homophobia, pure intolerance, fear, violence, all of this mixed together with this infantile behaviour "my intergalactic, omniscient, invisible friend is so much cooler than yours so I have to hate you, bomb your house and ring at your neighbours door and say how awesome my believe is!!1".
Man I hate those dudes ringing at your door and asking you if you want to know more about the bible/thora/quran etc. Religion is like one of the most private things ever, come on if god/yhwe/allah etc. wants me to believe in him and follow his way why doesn't he send me a personal message like a dream, which is so direct and clear that there's no possible room for different interpretations?
I'd love to hang myself into some sort of hope, like there's life after death and that I'd even have a soul which will be safed from whatever but personally I just can't. It's way to unscientific for my taste (statements like "of course it's unscientific, god etc. loves all of us and IS all of us " give me heartburn) and also I got a pretty deep relationship with death. Somehow I experienced a lot of deaths (not only my father) and unnessecary suffering which showed me that my life is more important than death and what happens afterwards (i.e. nothing).Believe me I often lie in my bed at nighttime and think of what happens when you die and that scares the shit outta me but still humans are just animals with a more complex central nervous system which allows us to do SCIENCE and that is fuckin awesome. I need no rules or a specific path I should follow to find revelation AFTER my life, that happens when you follow the things that make you happy and do everything you want to do and then, when you're about to die, you can say fuck yeah that was kinda awesome as far to this point. That is what makes me happy.

I still occasionally go to church just to hang with friends and family since it's a pretty laid back place.. There are a few intrinsic problems with the new testament though.

The second one is dumb since he's basically admitting to creating people that are beyond help. The last two are just fucked up for obvious reasons. Democracy seems impossible in a heavenly dictatorship.

There is precious little historical backing. Slavery in Egypt? Not demonstrated. Thousands of people walking back and forth across the Sinai for forty years? Not a shred of evidence. Global flood? And even if there were, I would remind you that there are eye witness accounts not even a decade old about alien abductions. All apart from six-day creation, talking snakes, stuffing the fauna of an entire planet onto a boat, condoning of slavery and so on. Yep, that last one too. In Jesus's own words - I have not come to change the law. The only law he revoked was the sacrificial law.
And you have to wonder about the resurrection. So that's what everything builds on. OK. A biological process that have never been elsewhere observed in nature. In fact, you could make a strong argument from principles of basic physics that it will never happen. This leaves us with pure, good old magic. So, a single, magical event in some obscure and largely unknown corner of the world, at a time of extremely limited global communication, is the way the almighty lord-on-high of wossname chooses to divulge how to escape unending torment. Yea, the concept of hell is not introduced until the new testament. I dunno. I don't think we have the foundations of a working partnership here.

I agree that the Bible may have it's distortions in translations. One of my friends that's more studied than me was actually questioning the same Bible passage written 2 different ways and, in doing so, produced 2 different meanings. When something like that happens I'd refer someone back to a direct translation of the Greek text since that was the original. But, personally, I take what I can apply to my own life to become a better person and be done with it. I studied very briefly with some Jehovah Witnesses just to see where they were coming from in their ideas. Their lack of celebrating life events was the first thing that turned me off, but the most major was when I point blank asked if biblical passages had one meaning or many. Their reply was only one. I don't believe that for a second because no two people are identical or have identical lives. Needless to say, I'm not a Bible thumper that reads every day, but I do have Divine thought daily.

1. All races are not equal, if they were equal there wouldn't be racism. Therefore, whites are the bestest

It's like an able-bodied person screaming "discrimination!" by not being allowed to join a wheelchair rugby club. It's not for YOU. If I believed in God and the godliness of church I would have the opposite opinion (weirdly), but I don't; I believe it's a racket, like a social club with a really weird dress code. If you don't like the rules go to a different club. If I wanted to have a heterosexual sex session in a men's swimming baths I'd be chased out with my cock between my legs (which is admittedly where it tends to be most of the time anyway) and that's hardly a "sanctified" place so much as it's a cum-slicked, hair-plugged white-enamel warehouse, but I'm not gonna write to my congressman about it because it's a club which wasn't set up for me.
