The whole bail-above-baghdad was bullshit, it was a setup by the iraqi authorities.

There are however 9 prisoners of war taken by the Iraqi army, here's what I copied from sky.com

Pictures said to show dead and captured US soldiers are being broadcast on television in Iraq.

The pictures show four bodies said to be American soldiers and five prisoners.
Two of the prisoners, including a woman, appeared to be injured.

One soldier was shown lying on a mat.
Another soldier was shown being questioned by crews.

Iraqi TV says the soldiers were captured in Nasiriyah, where a battle has been raging with US troops.

The prisoners were questioned on air and gave their names, military identification numbers and home towns.

The pictures were shown on Iraqi TV and were relayed by Al Jazeera satellite television network.

US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfield said Iraq was in breach of the Geneva convention by showing the film.

He admitted some US soldiers may have been captured.
A senior US military official said up to 10 American soldiers are unaccounted for.



I'm watching Skynews now, there is a new incoming air raid in Baghdad right now, there was another thing about a british jet beeing shot down by an American patriot missile. Friendly fire, it sucks, but it happend in Afghanistan too.

there's now a couple of pictures of Iraqi soldiers mounting anti-aircraft guns on houses, which makes it impossible for the coalition to attack them since they're mounted on civilian houses... bastards.

...that´s not good.... being an american captive in Iraq...

those captive americans where part of a support unit, and where not attacking anything, they where part of the support unit of the 3th armored division (?) but it pretty much sucks, we'll probably see more tv pictures of those POW's.

Despite the really low moves of Iraq, we are still really hurting them. In one skirmish, I read that the US had 1 casualty, Iraq had 5, but the US had captured 400 Iraqi soldiers in the fight. With battles like that happening, I don't think it can last too much longer. But, you never know....

Iraqi's said to have downed an Apache.

I saw it on tv, but it didn't look like they shot it down, it looked like it just landed, maybe it had a technical problem.

ohyeah there was no trace of the pilots?!?! maybe iraqi's captured them, but maybe they got away.

And yes, I think this is only the beginning, however the american casualties can't be compared to the iraqi casualties, a lot of iraqi soldiers died, but we don't hear a lot about them eh. there's also a big chemical weapons site found?

Another Update:

A British soldier has been killed in action in southern Iraq.
The soldier was killed this morning near the city of Basra, scene of fierce fighting, military officials said.
The soldier becomes the first British ground combat death since war began.
Two more are still missing after fighting in and around the city.

There's also 12 US servicemen missing in action now.

I`ve just seen some news on European and international
TVs and tried to form my own opinion :

It seems probable that the Iraqi national unity has unfortunately
awaken... and consequently the Iraqis won`t greet Americans
with flowers despite political and religious disagreements among them...

I also wonder if the Baghdad could be captured now
without its obliteration ?

well... it's this little thing called an "interrogation". It goes much more quickly when pain is applied, and I don't think the Iraqis would hesitate to apply pain.

I don't think the supply unit guys will be beat up to much since they don't have any important information for the iraqi's. However, the Apache crew might be interrogated, remember the last gulf war?
