Legalizing Pot for Kids, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bong
Now, I don't want to bury this forum in my political philosophies, better known in the metaltabs dialect as "Pathetic stoner stupid gibberish meant to spark the slightest bit of a laugh and/or awkwardness and/or masochistic attempts of being flamed," because in all truth, I think it is important to communicate with your community, where ever found as long as people are actually trying to unite on some agreement or find insight to others' intelligent, or hell even for a laugh if you can at least get that out of it.
The subject of this thread, now please hear me out.. after announcing the title I will try to summarize in a short and as easy to read as possible explanation of what I have, in my noggin, as far as a theory.
---------------------
Legalizing Pot For Kids
---------------------
Now, I am not proposing the title as an actual formula; more of a lead.
Bill O'Reilly's strongest argument against drugs revolves around the children: If drugs were legal, more people would have access to the drugs (or pot) and it would possibly affect a great amount of families. Statistics rate 70% of child abuse cases as being drug/alcohol related; mostly alcohol: being the most accepted and accessible.
Though I care strongly about children that have their way, a drug free life, that should be protected with a 9ft. brick wall and his grandpa holdin' a 22' if that is truly their goal, I also lay attention to a more criticized demographic, the young "Criminals" who done got hooked!
Understanding a criminal mentality and actually dissuading it makes up a difficult issue. If you punish with authority criminals who actually believe in what they do in a warrior-like sense, they will either give in of tiredness or fight back even harder than before. Following a similar concept to my other idea: Letting the kids that do ALREADY smoke come forward with honesty would help the parents and officials (both police and school) above make important decisions. For those addicted to hard drugs, pot has medical research backing it as a possible aide for cocaine withdrawals. Bringing kids in that open up with their habits can possible be refined by the fact that teachers and parents could moderate amounts.
If your teacher said you could smoke as long as you kept your grades up, and the only catch was that WHILE smoking IN FRONT of their TEACHERS, at least in the beginning until success, motivation, all that stuff, was achieved/proven satisfactory... only one hit every 4 hours UNTIL they prove themselves as serious students.
Hey, I would rather less kids drop out, stoned openly or not, an education has a right to be earned without offense of peoples' rights, which is a critical issue many DUMB FUCKS could work on to help the image of legalization of, really anything. Ya know, the whole 'Go out and party and break shit' routine, I hate that, but it takes a level ground to even go near that amount of communication, otherwise they go behind your backs and learn to bury their trails.
What inquiries or assumptions would any of you have on this theory?
