Vinyl records

I was just kinda curious do you or did you ever have anything on vinyl and if so what? The only thing I own on vinyl is Metal Church's "The Dark." (If you ask me, that's one of the best albums ever
made!) I bought it on eBay and it's up on my wall.

I'm thinking bout collecting vinyl. Maybe jazz vinyl records or something. I couldn't imagen actually listening to metal vinyl, it would have to suck. And yes, i'd actually listen to them. Just not alot so i can still think of them as a collectors item. My friend's dad has over 1,000 jazz vinyls, they all kickass.

I don't see why metal would suck on vinyl. If its to fast, it may be to cluttered and blurry, but other words it really gives it a hole nother sound.

i thought it was the other way around, because on a waveform pattern, analog is blocky.

Because there sort of like collector things. Plus there like a huge cd cover which is really great for good covers.

other way around, dude. Digital creates the blockiness. When a sound originates, it's an analog wave. When it's recorded on the master tapes, it goes down as analog. It's when it's put through a digital converted and burned onto a CD (or DAT) that some of the signal is slightly misrepresented. By it's nature, when the digital data is reconverted back to analog, it's never going to be exactly the same as the original.

I could go on, but it only gets more confusing and long.

and a couple of Beatles ones but never listen to those. The two above rule though.
