I was just curious how many people play geek fortress and what is it. Now for you that dont understand the term geek fortress here ya go: Geek fortress is any game that you would feel like a huge dork if you brought it up in public. Such games as Diablo, Ultima Online, Everquest, Asherons call, Lord of the rings the card game, magic the gathering......such things like that. I was just wondering if anyone besides me listened to metal and participated in such acts. I myself play Ultima, and LOTR the card game.

I STICK WITH THE OLDER ONES

SO MUCH MONEY WASTED IN THAT FUCKIN GAME BUT I LIKE IT

I played Magic the Gathering for a while, but basically stopped when I lost my job. I used to play Advanced Dungeons and Dragons when I was in 5th and 6th grade with my brother and his friends, along with Vampire the Masquerade. Also used to play Ultima Online and Diablo 2 quite often, but I don't play those either now. They all get really fucking boring after a while, but I can easily understand why some people like them so much, since I used to be really into all of them.

My theory is once a geek, always a geek. So all you guys that were sayin "ohh i used to do this, i used to do that" is either still playing buy not as much or is gonna start playin somethin geeky again. I usually switch my main geek fortress about every 6th months, most the time i return to them again too. Every geek does it

That's not really true. When I played Magic about 7 or so years ago. I stopped because the games popularity took a massive decline, and it was too expensive. Also, it did get boring. I play very little video games now. I wish I had more time/money for more. I have a ton of old rpgs for super nintendo and sega genesis. They used to be worth a lot until emulation became so rampent.

What is stupid is that the creators of magic just make more powerful, and more expensive cards just so they will sell, even if they are so powerful, it ruins the game.

REALLY EXAGERATED EXAMPLE:
The creators make a "Win The Game" card. When you use it, you win. They sell them to anyone who will shell out $1000 for it. Sure, it ruins the game, but they can make $1000 for a small piece of paper, so what do they care?

i play Halo on GameSpy Arcade

you hook a Xbox into your computer with the broad band, and play against people online, as teams of up to 4 on a xbox. 8 with 2 different xboxes. up to 16 people at a time (which is risky for major lag).

but it's bad ass
