I remember asking this same question when I first joined Atmetal.com years ago, atmetal was Metaltabs previous domain name in case some of you didn't already know.

There is no plotting of anything really, it's really just a place where the mods can relay important information involving the boards. That, and nomad usually holds monthly contests between the mods seeing who can alienate and piss off the most members. The winner usually gets free concert tickets and every now and then nomad has let us meet a few great bands. Walpurgis and I have been to a few Pantera shows for free, and I've met Slayer a few times thanks to this site.

Sorry to respond so late.

In answer to the two questions posed me, about my adventures and The Powerchord Junkies, I have this story. It will explain why I've been gone and where I've been, etcetera:

As some of you may know, I live in Upstate New York. I recently formed the band The Powerchord Junkies, hoping to emulate my Upstate New York musical heroes and predecessors (and this should be obvious, as the band name is a loving tribute to one of my favorite songs of theirs): Cannibal Corpse. Admittedly, they were from Buffalo, a city which is well know for its powers of sucking, so The Powerchord Junkies will probably outdo them. But, I'm going off on a tangent.

Following their example, myself and the other members of my band, whose names I unfortunately do not know, due to my policy of cycling through fellow members at a speed matched only by early Destiny's Child, or any band that's had a member die and continuously changes. Essentially, I'm Clapton and they're the ever-changing Clapton band. Yes, I'm Clapton. Anyway, we went down to Florida. Fortunately we had another thing up on Cannibal Corpse, in addition to not being from Buffalo: Morrissound Studios was already founded. We went there. Unfortunately, the bassist, rhythm guitarist, and drummer I'd hired that morning didnt know the songs, so I had to fire them and do all the tracks myself. Now though, after extensive weeks of recording, I'm proud to announce that several more weeks of recording is needed.

See folks, making a record is not as easy as you'd think. Especially because I'm an inept drummer and many of my songs require one with talent. I keep calling Sandoval, but the fucker never calls back. Also, it's difficult to record when you sleep in an alley and dont get a chance to shower. I had a choice: make a record or find a place to live. I didnt have enough money for both, so I had to go with the record. I mean, there's plenty of time to live afterward, but how many chances do you get to record at Morrissound? Twenty, thirty times, tops. I couldnt pass it up.

I'm currently writing this from an internet cafe I've broken into. That's why I can write it at midnight. I'd like to thank all of you right now, but cant, because you've done shit. Sorry, but I refuse to be dishonest or duplicitous. I'll pass something along to slayme to put up when it's done, but not a moment sooner. One of my songs reveals what goes on in the mod lounge, of that you can be sure.
