I have been listening to Dimmu Borgir for 3 years now, and I still don't know what Dimmu Borgir means...Can anyone tell me?

it's actually the name of a mountain in Iceland, and as far as i know, it means 'the mountain of fire'. Also, as far as i know, though i may be mistaken, Dimmu Borgir come from Iceland and not from Norway.

Well, I'm Norwegian, but since Dimmu Borgir is Icelandic, I wouldn't know what it means. But I do. It means Dark Castle or Fortress, your choice(Dim="Dark" in Norwegian, Borg="Castle". The rest is just gramatics. "Dimma" in Swedish means fog or mist). Icelandic is very close to Norse, from which our language came from.
It is a huge area of crazy lava formations on Iceland, close to Mıvatn, if anyone bothers to check out a map.
