I'm fairly new to "composing on guitar pro. Quite frankly it's pissing me off. In the first four bars of a song I'm writing all the notes or "beat durations" are played in sixteenths. Anyways, after that I switch the notes to eighths. But when I go back to play the song there's this bigass pause inbetween the fourth and fifth bars, before that everything plays smoothly. I know nothing of time signatures or anything like that, so any help would be much appreciated.

P.S. My goal is to eliminate the pause between the fourth and fifth bar. When I make the switch from playing my notes from sixteenths to eighths I don't want a pause inbetween. How do I get rid of it?
Ive tryed guitar pro 4, i still think the 3rd one is better.

your prolly not using all four beats, when you finnish a measure check the dot below rthe tab, if it is green, then you won't have that problem, also some songs aren't in 4/4 time, the default for gp4 is 4/4 time, which in laymans terms is 4 quarter notes per measure. you can change it from 4/4 to anything you want, if you just change the top that is how many quarter notes per measure . i.e 6/4 time is 6 quarter notes per measure also here is a breakdown of lengths of notes
whole note= 4 beats half note= 2 beats quarter note = 1 beat eigth note = 1/2 beat sixteenth note = 1/4 beat 32nd note= 1/16 beat. also another word of advice, if you are making more than one track you have to do itmeasure by measure
another words when you finish the first measure of the 1st track you have to do the 1st measure of the 2nd track and so on. good luck and cheers
