i need a mixer sequencer type thing, where you have tracks and you can sequence them to play at certain times.

i also need a drum machine, but Gavin pointed out "SequBeat" (which i can't find right now on KaZaa at the moment). might you have better suggestions?

i just want those 2 things, i really don't want a whole bunch of extra crap.

Cubase can probably do that (the mixing)...

and yeah, Fruity Loops is a pretty good drum machine.
