Wake Induced Lucid Dreams (WILD)
Anybody here experiment with this before? Its nearly the same as Astral Projection and OBE (out of body experience).
Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming
Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming 2
Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming is when you willfully enter a lucid dream AFTER waking up. Before you enter this WILD, however, you are in the state of Astral Projection. This is amazingly fun because you can make yourself levitate out of your own body!
When you first start to Astral Project, its actually crazy what you see and hear. The first time I did it, I heard loud explosions of frequencies that totally blew my mind. There was a high frequency on the left and a low frequency on the right. They moved towards eachother and formed a M7 and then the octave and so on.
It also felt like I was flying through a fucking VORTEX, which was awesome. I heard a whole crowd of voices talking, and pretty much felt like I was going 1000 MPH through space (this is REALLY cool btw).
Anyways, this is a totally drug-free way to trip balls, and its nothing stupid like hyperventilating. This is completely just tricking your brain into entering sleep while you are CONSCIOUS. Don't be scared when you enter sleep-paralysis while trying this, it's totally normal.
Well, I hope SOMEBODY responds to this... because it's really amazing and interesting. I'd recommend trying it (which can be very difficult at first, but once you do it its completely worth the effort).
Good luck, cunts

If you're doing this and have music on in the background can you hear it while you're experiencing it or does it just vanish like when you're sleeping normally?

I haven't tried WILD, but I've been succesful with lucid dreaming.
Its imperative that anyone interested with LD or WILD should check out http://www.LD4all.com. Its the most extensive, informative, and user friendly resource for all of that shit.

I used to lucid dream all the fucking time last semester. I would wake up early to go to my 8 am class, then come back right after and pass out. Its kinda cool but its not really that fun. I'd rather dream normally.

The handful of times I've successfully done it I found to be very fun. In fact, most of the occasions that I would fail and wake up would be because I'd get really excited when it started happening. It didn't come very easily to me like I've heard it does for some and it isn't something I'd want to do all the time because I'm a bit scared to interfere with natural dreams.

if you try having sex or making out in a lucid dream it does not feel like anything. at least in a normal dream it does, but then you wake up sticky

I've rolled fucking balls on MDMA, and I STILL think WILDS are just as fun, if not MORE fun.

haha yea man, I can relate! Sometimes I get all amped up and then it doesn't work. And just to make my point clear: did D&Q seriously just admit that levitating your soul out of your physical body and flying through space at 1000 MPH is not very much fun? I mean... dude you've better redeem yourself, drawn!
haha seriously i'm jk, i think.

Sins? What is a sin anyways? According to Wikipedia:
"Sin is a term used mainly in a religious context to describe an act that violates a moral rule, or the state of having committed such a violation. Commonly, the moral code of conduct is decreed by a divine entity, i.e. Divine law.
Sin is often used to mean an action that is prohibited or considered wrong; in some religions (notably some sects of Christianity), sin can refer to a state of mind rather than a specific action. Colloquially, any thought, word, or act considered immoral, shameful, harmful, or alienating might be termed "sinful"."
I suppose what is and isn't a sin varies from religion to religion. So who is to say what is and isn't a sin? Sins don't really exist. A person who believes in sins is more or less superstitious.
Trust me, I'm a blasphemous heathen agnostic, and I've never paid for my "sins"

haha doesnt this stuff really mess with your memory? i remember a health teacher telling me he knew a kid who got real into it, then because he was being "awake" during these dreams, his brain wasn't junking the memories, so he was getting confused about reality and who he was mad at and stuff like that

I did it several times and it gets old after a while. The first few times where fun, I would walk out of my bed, go to the bathroom and watch myself change shapes in the mirror. Usually I'd do that or blow stuff up with a bazooka. I just don't see how its the most fun and exciting thing ever, I'd just rather do other things than go out of my way to be concious in a dream

I think he meant senses not sins.
Last night I woke up in the middle of the night -I think_ and I was thinking about this stuff, but my mind started going through about 50 other things and I went back to sleep. I had so many odd dreams and I was dreaming I was waking up -I think- so I don't know if I was dreaming or really waking up. I woke up exhausted though.

haha yea some of your senses ARE activated (like touch), but the whole point is that you have total CONTROL over everything you do. That's the definition of a lucid dream.
And also, Drawn, I'm not really saying that the "lucidity" part of it (although I think its amazing) is the best part. The experience BEFORE that is the amazing part.
To me it feels like I sink below my body, and then rise up through my own physical self. Then I hear LOUD explosions and mixing/clashing frequencies, and see strange shapes and hear people talking. It also feels like my brain is flying through a vortex or something, and I'm flying really fast. Also, there are other physical feelings that are hard to describe, but you can feel sort of "energy" vibrations and lots of other shit.
However, the lucidity part can be really cool if you just use your imagination more. Instead of just blowing things up, make yourself into a giant and go build a colony of musical Gods on the Sun

yea man, you should try to just look up how to do "Astral Projection". Just do what you were doing but don't switch to Lucid Dreaming so fast. Try to float out of your body, and float as FAR away from yourself as you can.

Yes, it was and for your punishment you're to project yourself naked into a cast iron bathtub of cold, wet spaghetti.

Do you hear like a loud buzzing or something to that nature as you're going into it? I get to that point then the sleep paralysis kicks in and it freaks me out and i wake up. I'm afraid i'm about to have a seizure or something haha. It just doesn't feel right.

I don't hear anything, but is that like when you're falling asleep and you "jump" in your sleep? Sometimes I wake myself up doing that. My husband does the same thing sometimes.

It feels weird as fuck, yea. You'll hear really loud buzzing and sometimes voices and whatever else your brain is doing. The key is to not be scared, because its just your brain... you actually go through this entire process EVERY time you sleep, but you're not usually conscious during it.
I'd say that you should stay calm and try it again

Why'd everyone condone Tranny's contribution to the thread? I was interested in trying this until reading his post. My memory is already hazy. I can't find another way to make it worse.

Well, from personal experience and anecdotes I've heard from others who do this, there are no memory problems involved. If you did it every day you might get a little confused, but these certainly shouldn't harm you. Like I said before, you are going through this process EVERY time you sleep. Staying conscious during one of these times will not hurt your brain.
