Metal-Archives search add-on for firefox
Does anyone have this? I had it before my computer crashed and I can't fucking find it anywhere. It's an add-on that puts a metal-archives search function in that search box on the top right side of Firefox.

Its all the "HOLY SHIT! SPYWARE HAS BEEN FOUND ON YOUR COMPUTER! PRESS 'OKAY' TO FIX IT" crap. I've run Spyware Doctor a few times but it hasn't seemed to stop and the metal-archives add-on is the only thing I've downloaded for awhile.
What is a great and effective spyware removal program? I've never found one that really worked and I always end up having to reformat. I'm not sure if its true or if I understood what I was told right, but apparently you can only reformat a number of times before you end up permantly damaging your computer and I'm right about at that point so I'd reeaalllyy like to avoid having to reformat

I always used Ad-Aware and it took care of most things until i came across a Virtumonde or somethin type of spyware which is harder to get rid of. in which case i downloaded ComboFix and that took care of everything and it's been working perfectly since.

note, i didn't bother with the recovery console step. I just rebooted in safe mode before i ran the program and it worked just as fine. make sure you at least run it in safe mode though to ensure you get all the shit cleared out. I had to use it twice already and worked perfectly both times.
