Guitar Pro is pissing me the fuck off. Well, it's a combination of Guitar Pro and my friend; My friend had wrote out our whole set list on one guitar pro file to play along with, and because in one song I'm playing in Drop Bb, he has two rhythm guitar tracks for c-standard and drop Bb. WELL, he copied and pasted the c-tuned tab to the wrong track. If I transpose it, guitar pro screws up the fret numbers so it looks like a simple power chord is impossible to play. That's why he pisses me off. Guitar Pro pisses me off because it keeps fucking lagging, and it takes fucking forever just to change one measure. ARGH!

I remember Savio Vega. He was pretty good for a while. I think he's still a big star in Puerto Rico. He had some great matches with Steve Austin like a month before he got huge. He's one of the few people to have beaten Steve Austin, The Rock, and Triple H, even though he did it back before they all got huge.

You have to be careful covering AIC as much as if you were covering Dio era Sabbath or you'll get exposed in a bad way. Would is like picking Children of the Sea or Sign of the Southern Cross instead of one of the 198 other songs better suited for a metal band.
If a metal band is going to cover AIC, try something like Godsmack, Put You Down, Man in the Box, Brush Away, etc.

now im pissed off. for some reason i just loaded up firefox and it said it had installed a new google toolbar (didnt ask me if i wanted it, just did it), and now i dont seem to have any bookmarks when i had about 500 before. ive no idea how to get rid of the toolbar or get my bookmarks back - anyone got any idea?

Regularly export bookmarks. Then when shit like this happens (and has happened to me too many fucking times), you can just import those bookmarks and regain everything lost. Always name your exported bookmarks after the date which they were exported; this way you know which one is the most recent and valid. If you have already done this at some point, just open Firefox and import them. If not, I don't think there's much you can do.
EDIT: Also, use Opera. Opera > Firefox, and I use both regularly. Don't intall stupid toolbars, they are always worse than useless. Always.

Agreed! Phil sounded pretty decent. Laney would be a very difficult person to replicate. I have, somewhere on my computer, Maynard playing with them and singing Them Bones and Man In The Box. Of course, Maynard does it flawlessly and it sounds incredibly awesome.

Dang, Opeth did do a pretty decent job on that. Of course, the others were live examples while this is a studio effort, but its still good.
I use to really be into Opeth about 5-6 years ago, and I still enjoy a few of their earlier works, but became really sick of them, their forumla for writing, and so on.

Well, we wanted to put it on one file for a few reasons;
1. To play along with it since we don't have a drummer, or bassist, or keyboardist.
2. Write out the transitions between songs, if any.
3. The first two songs are actually split up a little; We have the intro of the second song played first, then it goes into the first actual song, then into the second song from whose intro was taken and put first.... and stuff.
I can live without the rse. but when you're trying to write stuff on it, it's hard to do when it keeps freezing every time you write a note.

I can see why someone wouldn't like Opeth for sure. Orchid, Deliverance, Damnation, and Ghost Reveries all fucking suck IMO. However, all the other albums are spectacular. 'My Arms, Your Hearse' and 'Still Life' are both progressive metal masterpieces.

The keyboards and the production are unbearable for me. The song writing is pretty bland too. I liked the song isolation years, as well as the Deep Purple cover song, but the rest suck. It was an unacceptable record attempt!

I got firefox because my internet explorer was always dying on me...but now firefox is really slowing down on me...and it completely effs up my address bar. I use to like to have sites that I like to go to in my adress bar, but now it's just filled with random crap.

i had some major computer problems for the past few weeks. first i bought a WD 320 gb external hd, backed up my files, and used the dell pc restore program pre-loaded to reload windows back to factory state. now ive been reinstalling programs... plus i just ordered two sticks of 1 gb ram to upgrade from 1gb to 2 gb...only running XP but it runs slow when im using itunes

Latest version of firefox is sorta lame, with the arbitrary address bar change, but I'm not experiencing any crashes. Leave it to Chris to make me feel better about being myself.
Dyldo told me the night it happened and sent me a link to a website while I was trying to write a term paper. I spent the rest of the night trying to prove that the website was one of those realistic fakes/jokes, then just drowning in the various sources of confirmation as they came in, listening to 'Dead Girl' over and over again for some reason. Paper had to wait until the following quarter.
Oh, and if you don't care for progressive metal at all (or just progressive metal with the black and death overtones that they have) you probably wouldn't be too impressed by Opeth. And if you don't care for Porcupine Tree you definitely wouldn't be too impressed by more recent Opeth. Actually there are lots of very good reasons not to like Opeth.
