the guitar tone is weird, but what really ads to the confusion is the trickyness of the rhythm.

If anyone wants it I have the 1988 demo before Slaughter In The Vatican was properly recorded at Mufflesound. It has all the tracks apart from "The Tragic Period" (sorry Chris) and it's much easier to pick out the guitar work.

Even though I already had the demo and knew The Tragic Period wasn't on there, it still hurts to see you write it.
Honestly, I think that's why it was better than the rest of the album; it was clearly written after everything else, and I think they put more effort and energy into it. Not that the rest of the album sucks (it mostly varies from decent to good), The Tragic Period is just awesome.
