They tune to C standard, and I haven't listened to them in years, but I remember liking unhallowed a lot. My band used to cover funeral thirst.

Definitely a talented group of guys. My only complaints are repetitious songs and shitty solos. Otherwise, they are a decent melodic death band.

I absolutely love Miasma. They are a lot more Death Metal sounding than typical Melodeath bands.

They are a pretty good band. They are really fun to play (might be the fact that I struggle to maintain the speed for the 240bpm+ stuff...). Unhallowed and Nocturnal are awesome. Miasma was a little lack luster...still good just not great.

BDM is one of the best melo-death bands IMO.
(thank you Justin)

I've been a fan of these guys when Unhallowed just came out..before people started calling the vocals metalcore.
Their 2nd album didn't do much for me but I want to pick up Nocturnal soon..I kinda put that on the back burner.

Nocturnal is a top notch album, the production on that one is so damn good. All their discography so far is great though.
Only the ignorant consider this band metalcore... There is a hint of metalcore influence on Unhallowed, but it's not like they have ever done a chug breakdown like all the retarded bands that try to emulate them.

You should pick it up. I think I actually like it more than Unhallowed.

My friend called them metalcore and refused to listen to them until we got drunk one night and I put in Nocturnal. His opinions instantly changed. I don't why people call this band metalcore.

They are called metalcore because people think they look like a metalcore band.

Yeah, i've been listening to them since their demo was up on MP3.com... back in 2000-2001. I never understood the shit this band got, even from this board. Its only been recently that they've been uh, "accepted," so to speak.
'Nocturnal' has a LOT of amazing tracks on it. Not as memorable as Miasma, or even Unhallowed. But some of the solos closer to the end of the album are really well written.

Haha, yeah. I remember hearing them back in the Mp3.com days. They put up a cover of Paint it Black by the stones and I was a fan since. Unhallowed was in my cd player for a long time when it first came out also.
I honestly think if they had good guitar solos and maybe added in a technical riff here and there, a lot more people in the metal community would listen to them. The talent is there, but not anywhere near the young talent of a band such as Decapitated had. It'll be interesting to see what they come out with in the next couple of years.
EDIT: I didn't even edit this post and it said it was edited

These guys aren't too bad I suppose, but the little bit of core in them puts me off.

The only thing core about them I have ever noticed was their look. Aside from that they just sound like an evil at the gates. Plus they got a new lead guitarist, Ryan Knight, (used to be in Arsis) so the solos will be pretty damn good.

Ok, I've just listened to 4 songs and they sound better than I remember but I'm not keen on the vocals. It's the same with Arsis. I really like their first album but the vocals are my only gripe really. I think they've been going downhill since A Celebration Of Guilt.

Hahahaha!
I've only seen them live once, but that was when they had another vocalist for a while. Didn't get to witness James do them. I like his vocals though, i'm glad they didn't keep that other dude.

Not a fan of the vox, but the music is great. They're playing here with Toxic Holocaust and Trap Them in a month or so.

Sounds like the vocals are a little different on Nocturnal. I love the band though...tabbed out a few of their songs on this site. Have seen them play a couple times...always a good time.

Unhallowed is probably my favourite album of all time. I love how they're not posers like half of the bands the metal scene comes up with nowadays.

I don't like em.
I think I saw them in concert once or something. Hated it.
And I saw that video (from the link posted on the first page, the 3rd video with the green-lit set) didn't like em.

Just saw them live on sunday night and they kicked ass. Had to pick up the new album and I must say that I like it. Takes a few listens to get into but it's definitely their best release yet. They've finally got some good guitar solos; there's some good variation in the vocals as well, they sound great on Christ Deformed.

Hell yeah man, there are really cool live. The whole new album is pretty good. I like how the vocals are primarily lows.

Quoted for one of the dumbest things i've ever seen typed on this forum. A doubt followed by a sure opinion about the doubted subject.
I Will Return is my favorite track off the new album i've decided. The verse is fucking epic, awesome riffage and cool blast beat.
