I know some of you guys are following the Olympics. As a swimmer, I've been watching the...swimming...pretty intently. Lochte got his first ever individual gold last night which was pretty cool. Lame ass Phelps is getting his dick sucked by everyone here for the following week or so, then he will fade into nothingness until 2012 again. The French are a bunch of ugly, snaggle-toothed, big-nosed, snail-eating cunts. Britain's Tancock is fuckin' awesome for sprinting the first 50 of every event, being way ahead, then managing to ALWAYS come in like 7th. And, Stephanie Rice is either strangely attractive or rather dike-esque.

Other sports I've liked this year: water polo, womens beach volleyball, gymnastics.

What have you been watching, what are your favorite sports/moments/etc.

I would love to poon both Walsh and May.

Even if you don't like him, Phelps is amazing to watch and an incredible athlete. I enjoy watching every race he swims.

Im glad Dennis van der Geest (Judo) completely failed in his first match. During the last couple of years he was more busy doing stupid commercials than winning matches. Plus he was a total douche in the press lately because of some other judo-guy actually being better (but not with olympic rights - or something like that)

oh and the Dutch are not preforming well at baseball at all. this really sucks cause whenever there's an international tournament here in Holland they usually manage to finnish with the best three.

I watched some rewinds of men's weightlifting, one of the lighter classes I think. That shit is fun to watch for some reason.

I've been looking for judo, weightlifting, and wrestling and haven't been able to find any yet. Those are my favorites out of what I haven't watched. I have been watching boxing, baseball (of course), softball, and a little bit of tennis.

I'm upset about baseball, but a whole lot more upset about softball. Olympic softball won't have a similar replacement like the WBC, and softball girls, to me, are the absolute best of female athletes that actually retain female characteristics. In other words, there are a few sports that feature equal athleticism (i.e. basketball), but those girls start to cross over into manly looking territory.

If I ever have a daughter who wanted to play sports, I would especially encourage softball, and I would want her to have great role models like Cat Osterman, Jessica Mendoza, and Lisa Fernandez to look up to. It's also important for the sport to stay in the Olympics in order for it to grow internationally.

I was searching for the entire weightlifting re-runs last night as the coverage on tv is pitiful and usually on too late at night. I couldn't find shit. Apparently Olympic footage is not allowed to be put online unless it's by people who have the rights. BBC has quite a lot of footage but still couldn't find any lifting on there.

It goes up for a few seconds, then it comes down again.

If they're going to be chintzy with the TV rights, fuck 'em. When have I ever broken my balls to watch Romania play Cuntplatteria in the women's volleyball anyway?

As a former horsewoman I can tell you there's a lot more to that than just plopping your ass on horse and saying yeehaw. Lots of balance, leg, and arm control that has to be undetected by a viewer, but felt by the horse.

I've watched as little as possible. I'm not a sports person and China's pissed me off too much that past few years to bother.

I finally caught some weightlifting yesterday. It was the superheavyweight finals, so either they only showed a tiny bit or I only caught a tiny bit. I'm betting on the former.

I also caught a bit of wrestling, 55kg and 60kg classes, freestyle. Hopefully there's a lot more left of that. Also managed to see baseball and most of the softball game last night, but softball went into extra innings after 2AM and I fell asleep before the conclusion.
