True. It's sad, but let's all face it, it was his time. 71 is pretty good.

No one can, but Stanhope is the drunk, less intelligent version of the two I guess. Bad comparison maybe.
Sad day.

One of my all-time favorite comedians. I own about 5 of his standup albums and I actually started listening to them again rescently. His views on life has always mirrored my own. The world lost a great mind. RIP George.

Yup, he sure was. I was listening to him before you guys were born. I remember him being the Hippy Dippy Weather Man on different programs. I had two of his lp's, but loaned one and never got it back. I can't figure out which it was though. The one I still have is Class Clown. It's still funny.
RIP George. You went too soon.

What the hell is this '71 is a long time' shit? Even Charles Bukowski lived longer than that. Carlin should certainly have outlived Requiem.
But at least he was probably happy to go. I'm going to remove him from my address book. Fuck him. He's dead. Moving on.

I read Napalm & Silly Putty quite a few years ago and remember it as being one of the first books that made me nearly cry from laughing so hard.
