Well, to answer your first question, it's easy to tell where people are from...I know you know the location thing at the side, because yours is filled in, which is how I know you're in L.A., according to that at least.
Secondly, this goes in Chit Chat, not in Bands.
And for your other question, I don't have a preferred genre myself.
