Ok, new years party.
huge....massive dance party downstairs, hundreds of people..........I'm kinda watching what's going down on the dancefloor, walking thru just kinda mingling.
Some girl approaches me and wants to dance, yanks me by the arm..........you know, dance to bad 80's hip-hop and I am relatively sober.
.........I just don't fucking dance, I can't do it, unless I'm wasted to the point where I'm not gonna remember much. I look like I'm doing some variation on the pee-pee dance when I dance anyway......but if I dance with her that could be a potential avenue of possibly hooking up/a phone number, what have you....I have to admit, even tho I don't like dancing.....grinding up on some hottie is very good, double plus good, the activity has a high fucking rank in my book, regardless of whatever horrendous shit is blasting thru the PA. Even if there is no making out/possibly hooking up, no digits, just some one-off bump and grind is still hell of alot better than nothing.
anyways, I chickened out and snuck away.........disaster.
and I'm just fucking amazed at myself, I failed tonight my friends........and I failed pretty bad.
The lesson here, if I may impart some wisdom, is to seize such opportunities.
And it's not my real birthday, I must of changed the date again.

Dancing is the shit, even if you're bad at it. Sure, for some it takes practice but it's all about not giving a fuck. Some hardcore trance, early '90s house, or James Brown is all you need!

I dunno if they still do it, but race horse owners used to use Jan. 1 as their horses b-days. I think it was because the spring births would make them a better age to race when they turned 2 and started. I don't remember for sure though. So hang some colors on ya and strap on a saddle and AND WE'RE OFF!!!
