Just can't afford it and it requires a serious dedication, requires one to be athletic which I just ain't.

Was more of a PRIDE fan, so I been kinda bummed to see the UFC grow so powerful.

Big fan, I've been following it closely for years. Watched UFC 2 at my buddies in 01 or so and I've been hooked since.

UFC 79 is finally a pretty damn good card for once, considering the last few were pretty poor. Chuck's going to get KOed, and same with Matt Hughes.

I train in Muay Thai, and I'm probably going to go for BJJ in a month or two.

i'm pissed serra got hurt. i was so looking forward to seeing hughes get his ass handed to him. i haven't fought a full on mma event yet but i've been into no gui jiu jitsu for years. i just signed up at a new gym after a half year break. i'm stoked.

i have a few pride dvd's and i watch MOST ppv's ('cept for the REALLY bad fight card ones).

However, Roger Huerta will destroy on saturday. ans wand will make liddel his bitch, like GSP to huges.

It's Fedor's management, I'm not a big fan of the UFC or Dana White but I sided with him on reading about Fedor's contract negotiations.

His handlers are a bunch of leeches and Fedor blew it big time on trying to negotiate doing unrelated, obscure sambo tournaments in with a multi-million dollar contract with face time on American television.

It's unfathomable.

Wand may not even beat Liddell. Hopefully he makes good on this transition unlike nearly every PRIDE contestant that has recently stepped in the ufc cage.

If I was a betting man, I would of already lost alot of money in the last couple months.

i hear you on the pride fighters to the ufc cage, you ARE right. However look at Quinton. He has done well. Alot of guys like cro cop were use to the rope, IE hitting them into the ropes and when they bounce back use that kick of his to knock'em out. (See K1 as well) but when you hit that cage you dont get a bounce back. then theres the ground game in pride to the ufc's, thats were they are getting killed. getting pined up against the cage, and getting stuck there, unlike in pride were they start them off in the middle of the ring again.

As for wand, he has a tough fucking skull, i dont think chuck and break it like cro cop or dan henderson did. (and on that note they JUST took'em down), wand is also REALLY FUCKIGN STRONG, (see the mark hunt fight, he had mark on top of him and still did quite well against a guy that size). and his stand up IMO Is waaaaay more dangerous then Liddel's claim to fame. and wands ground game is really fucking good, unlike chucks.

It'll be good fight, I don't really like either wand or liddell and was happy to see rampage pwn everyone to the top. I think Wand will win, if he still has that inhuman bezerker rage that destroyed Fujita and humbled a 300 pound hunt(he should of took the win over hunt). Both seem to be on losing streaks and need a win to stay relevant.



I loved PRIDE's ruleset, knees and stomps on the ground, no cage used for pinning/clinching/cutting off movements, yellow cards(which ufc should have adpoted by now),Grand prix tournaments, big entrances and ceremonial crap, weird ass victory music, the whole shabang >>> UFC.

Hopefully Hero's fills the gap as a viable competitor, most of PRIDE's fighters had to be let go and there was a host of talent that have scattered to obsure/foriegn orgs. People that were top 10 in nearly every division.

yeah, the UFC is definitely a pretty shady organization. dana white is too personally involved in it and the fights have definitely suffered because of it. look what he did to randy, they had personal issues and randy couldn't even get a fight, so he quit. but yeah, im really hoping mac gets a ufc contract on TUF because if anyone deserves the extra cash and exposure it's him.
