I was wondering what u guys think about BMTH? i listened to a few of their songs and i think their kinda weird but ok, j/w ur opinions on them. I was also wondering what ur guys' views are on metalcore and hardcore.

#1. This thread title is too ambiguous.
#2. I prefer when posters use WORDS to communicate, and so does everyone else around here with a frontal lobe.
#3. Not only am I annoyed that I don't know what the thread is about from the thread title, but I still don't know what the thread is about after reading the content of the thread. Who the fuck are BMTH? This would be a good place to start.
#4. Your post and thread are so comically bad that suspicions are tugging at me that you are a regular trying to play a lame joke on the rest of the forum. You don't want people to think that, do you?

i would fix it if i understood what u want, its using words, i asked a simple question, what are ur opinions on a subject, isn't that communicating? im asking ur opinions on BMTH (Bring Me The Horizon), the british thrash metal band (atleast thats what they classify themselves as). And i ask what ur opinion is on metalcore in general cuz i have no idea what u guyz listen to or what ur interests are in, i don't think its too ambiguous, cuz im not gonna post if u guyz are just gonna rag on me for liking a certain genre cuz its happened bfore. And not to act like a smartass but i read the rules and i don't see a way i broke any of them, this post isn't spam, i didn't attack anyone or anything, i didn't compare bands im just asking a simple question, im sry if this made u mad, but i don't see the problem with it.

moonbath, you asked, so what i feel about metalcore is: way too many, potentially wonderful, attempts are being ruined by metalcore/hardcore elements. i was at a local store, and saw something new. it sounded great. and then... BEHOLD! that greatness turned right into cut off camo pants, a questionably perfect, black cap and a fucking backpack with NOTHING in it. metalcore is a plague on metal, originated in the slimy pits of hardcore. i now dub the scientific name for the plague: BREAK-DOWNS-SYNDROME!

I see what u mean, it is far away from what u think metal should be, but it is nonetheless metal. If ppl call Atreyu and Trivium metal, cuz i guess some ppl say they are technically defined as it, then so be it, i don't like them but i don't have to listen to them or like them. Altho, i love metalcore for sum reason, it speaks to me more than death, black and any other thrashy metal u might genrenize (made that up lolz) probably bcuz i am a teenager, in my "angst" . so plz, idc if u dis metalcore (as long as it stays to my question and nothing personal to me) atleast im getting feedback.

no, no. its not far from what i think metal should be. in fact, i think its very close. i just hate when it "tricks" me, as id like to call it. it keeps happening, lately. i find a band, and at first it sounds great. the vocals come in, and i shudder a little, but give them that last chance... and then come the breakdowns. oh man. and thats it. even when i think about it, i find it odd that i can be so put off by this small combination of sub-par screaming, and breakdowns. maybe its because ALL of them do it, and it wasnt something i was fond of, to begin with. and, with hardcore, coming into metal, as metalcore, it truly is a plague, by definition.

You still aren't using WORDS. I generally prefer posters here to combine letters to form English WORDS that one can find in any decent literary work. A dictionary would be an excellent place to start. In a dictionary, you would learn that the following do not consistute WORDS-

Shorthand is for ham radio afficionados and illiterates. Shorthand will get you flamed to hell by the regulars. Avoid shorthand. Embrace WORDS.

k thank you for explaining, no problem, i didn't know shorthand was frowned upon, i play games so i'm used to shorthanding all my text. sorry. And i see what you mean timedragon, most of the time the lyrics make me cringe, and some bands use breakdowns way too much (i love all shall perish, but they are a violator of this). I like Bleeding Through because they actually sing and harmonize some of their songs, which i like, it adds a nice touch. But i try to give bands a chance before i say that i like them or don't like them.

Looking better already. Capitalize and punctuate properly and you'll already be ahead of most of the regulars. Well, except for liking metalcore, but I suppose that can't be helped until you're outside the grasps of puberty. As terrible as metalcore is, though, I'll take it over the hormonally induced fads of my generation... Korn still makes me retch like Requiem with his face in front of a vagina.

Metalcore is generic. I really don't understand it. They have decent riffs sometimes, and then fuck it all up, continually, and what's worse, the guys in alot of metalcore bands I've heard are very talented musicians.

It's really a waste.

Metalcore, death core, death metal, grind who the fuck cares. Honestly, most of you fucks around here only listen to bands that are "too burtal" or "arn't pussies". Fuck that shit, if the kid likes metalcore, let him. Its not like CC or Hate enternal make good songs for fuck sake. In 50 years people arn't going to say, oh did you hear that awesome Nile song before? Fuck no. So shut the hell up, its his choice what he likes, so fucking lay off.
