Awsome. I miss the death vocals. And I miss Paul's long hair. haha But it's still really good. They should do a tour with Atheist if they reunited.

Holy shit that sounded amazing. Can't wait for their upcoming record! The oldschool fans must have been itching for this for a really really long time.

I'm glad we can all agree on Cynic. For once every one enjoys the same band.

Cynic are one of the few bands who are practically untouchable, and deservedly so.

You can't post links to full albums and other pirated material on this forum. I don't think the link to the live show is a problem, but the album certainly is.

I am in love. That live video is fucking great. I am happy now.
edit: I wonder if the new song(s) will have growls in them, I found it quite crappy they sampled shitheaps including the growled vocals, I feel that kind of takes away some of the live atmosphere. They should get a keyboardist/growler as they did on old live shows i've seen, but I guess its early days for new Cynic now hey. Evolutionary Sleeper might have growls in it for that reason, or it might be the new albums 'Sentiment'. Much possibilty, but I feel it is a great song already.
Still buzzing.
edit2: I also find it very fucking awesome they played a Portal song live, it would be great if they played 1 or 2 every live show.
Also in the vid... when he said 'what song haven't we played yet'.. I was thinking Celestial Voyage! missed out on that .

Would be awesome if they got in Dana Cosley again. She was before and sounded more of a beast than Angela Gossow. Tony Teegarden tore souls too!
It's hard to comprehend Cynic, this stationary, immovable, historic and legendary figure, back, and with new material, as if it were a dynamic thing. It's ineffable. I haven't described it right, and I wish I could.

Who's Dana Cosley? Are you talking about Aruna Williams? (I think that's her name), the Portal singer?... on a side note, I checked out Aruna Williams' music myspace a while back, found her new music direction hilarious. Shit dance, it has Hillary Duff written all over it.

*Aruna Abrams.
Dana Cosley was the female singer/keyboarder they took with them on one leg of the Focus tour, I forgot which continent/region. She played at the well-known Berkeley show, videos from which for each song can be found on Youtube.
