just the band? pretty boring... lazy fucks, name the albums as well.
Summoning: Stronghold and Minas Morgul
Dimmu Borgir: For all tid, Stormblast and Godless savage garden
Dark Tranquillity: The gallery
Emperor: In the nightside eclipse
Garden of Shadows: Oracle moon
In flames: Lunar strain
Ancient rites: Dim carcosa
Amorphis: Tales from a thousand lakes
Cradle of filth: Dusk and her embrace
Hecate enthroned: Upon promethean shores and Dark requiems
Blind Guardian-nightfall in middle-earth
Ensiferum-Victory songs
Wintersun-Wintersun
Kalmah-all but the Black Waltz (kind of bleh)
Mithotyn-king of the distant forest (original version)
most of that is from the thread i made, on this topic. in which someone, there, said "this thread has already been done".

Altars of Madness is one of the coolest albums covers ever IMO. At one point i even thought of getting a tatoo of it on my back. I still might actually, who knows...

Seagrave is cool but fuck all of his artwork looks the same. StD, And Time Begins, Beneath the Shadows Lie Madness, Gateways to Annihilation are all the same damned scheme.
I like his Erosion of Sanity cover the best, it's like one of the best in death metal.
I like MA's "Covenant" cover a lot. All of em to be exact.
Psycroptic's Scepter also had a cool one, and Atheist have some pretty interesting ones.

ENTOMBED-LEFT HAND PATH (best cover ever IMO. It looks so simple but there are hidden things in it which make it really cool)
Atheist's album covers are sick.
Autopsy-Mental Funeral (I thought Seagrave did this cause it looks so much like the Alters Of Madness cover)
Autopsy-Acts Of The Unspeakable (The fold out poster is amazing)
Most of Abscess' covers.
All of Gorguts album covers insterest me
Obituary-Cause Of Death
Celtic Frost-To Mega Therion (Jesus as a slingshot haha)
Cianide-The Dying Thruth
Cianide-A Decent Into Hell
All of Deceased covers eccept Luck Of The Corpse (even tho I love that album)
Death-Scream Bloody Gore
Death-Symbolic
Death-Human
Dissection-The Somberlain
Ghoul-Maniaxe
Immolation-Dawn Of Possession
Kreator-Pleasure To Kill
Machetazo-Sinfonias Del Terror Ciego (The fold out poster is beautiful)
Macabre-Sinister Slaughter
Impaled-The Dead Shall Dead Remain (it's just so....GOREY)
Lord Gore's album covers
Massacre-From Beyond
Morbid Angel-Alters Of Madness
Morbid Angel-Domination
All of Mortician's album covers
Pungent Stench-Been Caught Buttering
Vader-Revelations
All White Zombie's artwork
Winter-Into Darkness
All Wormphlegms artwork
and the most offensive cover goes to.....
Whore-Doing It For The Kids

True. If you look at the cover of Desecrator [UK] - Subconscious Release, Effigy Of The Forgotten and Nocturnus - The Key, they all have the same little brownish alien-looking thing that is on the cover of Suffocation's latest (in the middle of the big 'S' above the logo where the people are getting impaled on.) The towers on Ressurrection's "Embalmed Existence" and the towers in the back of Effigy are pretty much identical too.
My favorite album cover of all time, however, is Darkthrone - Soulside Journey.

There are so many good ones. I always loved Autopsy's "Retribution for the Dead" cover. Strangely enough, I never liked Autopsy much.
