Got a new job today at a circuit city service center as a level II electronics tech. I'll mostly be repairing Plasma/LCD TVs as they seem to malfunction often. The pay is good and the work is way easier than nuclear engineering, so cheers |

Whats the pay?
Oh yeah my friend ended up quitting Nuke Engineering because its just not for him. (the degree) so that basically means he won't be joining the Navy now. He said if he isn't going to be on subs doing nuke shit he doens't want to be apart of them at all. So hes joining the marines now.

14+/hr starting. In my new area that is super great.
Edit: I'll get promoted to level III shortly after I show them what I can do and get a bigger raise. They started me at level II because I have never worked on TVs before. I repaired 2 TVs during me interview today.
There were times in the Navy I made less if you consider the long hours I worked.

The funny thing is that Soul's new job is actually more patriotic then his old one. The best way to serve the American people is to keep their TVs functioning. Or at least that's the way they'd most appreciate.

Just came back from a job interview. I'll be doin and getting paid for what people dislike doing hte most.
Lawn Maintenance for my apartment complex. Pullin weeds, mowing grass, picking up trash, etc.
8 bucks an hour and i don't have to work retail. Also 8-5 monday through friday. wordddd.

i think im going to work at a shitty used cd shop this summer. if they dont want me by the time i get back from maryland im putting in to work at verizon making phone calls. pretty easy, and i cant do a job where i have to stand for more than an hour, so im pretty goddamn limited right now. i was nominated to be an english tutor at my college, a paying job, but id have to take courses so by the time i could get paid to be a tutor i would already be at suny albany.

Yeah, but just wait and see how many people will thank you for enabling them to catch every episode of Lost and 24 when they thought they'd have to miss at least one to get the TV fixed. You could argue that you did much the same by being in the military, but nobody remembers having their TV sent to Iraq to be fixed.
I gotta say, tm, I had a job in Texas that required me to do all that stuff but paid better wages (and started around 6 in the morning, so I got more hours in before knocking off at the same time), and the cost of living in South Texas is a hell of a lot cheaper than anywhere I've been in Virginia. So I think you're getting ripped off and should threaten to cut off the fingers of some of the tenants' children with hedge-clipping shears. Only fair.
