Faux Moshing
I just posted this somewhere else before I relized it would probably better go here. Sorry.
I just saw Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse last night and they were absolutely amazing. However, one thing really pissed me off... Some of the opening bands were hardcore and so when CC came on some of the stupid hardcore kickers and punchers came in and they made it a little difficult to run around. But fine, me and the other metalheads just ran around them and we kind of coexisted.
Finally, after a solid set Corpsegrinder yells out that the next song will be Hammer Smashed Face... so you know I was psyched. That is until one of the hxc retards starts up inches in front of me and catches me in the face. I was so pissed that I ended up elbowing and uppercutting him (only body shots not face). Then, after balling over, this pussy gets up and decides to pull my hair like a girl so I started swinging and I caught him once or twice before he finally let go and someone separated us.
My point is, anyone else have a perfectly good moshing experience messed up by one of these morons?

Thats why i enter the pit in punk shows. A hell of alot more about having chaotic fun, than beating people up.

I think I took it just fine. The little hxcore kid left fucked up not me. It just pissed me off that I had to do that in the first place because that was the first fight I have ever technically started. |

At the end of the show, I got to meet Alex Webster and I told him how much of an inspiration he was to me. That man is such a great guy, he bowed his head to me and gave me the most genuine thank you and handshake I have ever received. Then he signed my ticket and complimented my Slayer shirt saying that they were his inspiration growing up too. The day over all was very legendary for me. |

I hate moshing. I hate even dancing to music. I don't mind headbanging to the music, but that's as far as I go. I just want to listen to the music.
At this hardcore show, at this very small bar, I had like three moments when this big drunken gorilla came charging at the pit, and almost killed me. I'm not gonna like, I'm a stick boy, I'll crumble like firewood.
I'm smart enough, of course, to stay way from the front of the stage, where moshing usually occurs, but that's where it should stay.

Was this at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival? I was there too, maybe you saw me. I was the dude wearing the Immolation "Dawn of Possession" shirt.
Heh, I totally destroyed this one hardcore kid during 'Stripped, Raped, and Strangled'. I mean, I bullrushed this kid and uprooted him off his feet into the air and onto his ass, fucking Roy Williams style. It was like the sweetest thing ever.

Nah man, this was on Sunday in NYC.
Funny story, me and two of my friends went to Mass for the Festival too... but two of us (me and one of my friends) got so drunk and wasted that we ended up sick and we missed all of the headliners . I wasn't too pissed though since I knew we were still going to see CC and Behemoth on Sunday. |

im unsure of when music started to be about smashing each other up in a pit. ive had my share of pits, ive dived and surfed, but its really not that fun imo. i dont care how poser i am but from now on im sitting back and enjoying the band and paying attention.

Irving Plaza... Which is easily one of the smallest venues I've been to in a while. It's only about four times the size of the second stage at the Metal/hardcore festival in Mass. Although it did have a balcony. |

When CC and Necrophagist and Dying Fetus came to Dallas this past Dec I had my run in with asshole hardcore kids. Even the Bull Dogs were Hardcore moshing and that really ticked me off. Maybe next mosh I'm in I'll tie my hair back....I'm not ready for a fight if my hair is all over the place.
But anyway...I left that concert with the set list of CC, both lips busted, and a bloody nose.

Yeah, cause I headbang while I do, and I can't really "Jump" (haha ) like VanHalen in a dorm room, so I just walk back and forth....haha a couple days ago I was jumping up and down on my bed, with my pants down and my roommate came in when I wasn't looking, hahaha.
