Interesting season so far. Yankees last in their division and The Mets first in theirs. Yankees pitching blows. Boston is doing incredible so far, but we know how that usually goes.

Hopefully the Cubs will get their act together. They were going for teh sweep today, but the Cards pitcher got killed in a car accedent so it was postponed.

I really hope A-Rod breaks the season HR record, I don't want Bonds to have it any longer.

The Sox' bullpen can't continue on the way it has been. The rotation, on the other hand, is sick and I think it will stay very good even after the natural regression occurs. The offense, of course, will get better and everything will average out. Health granted, they might be able to keep this pace up all year.

I hate the Yankees, but yeah I'd much rather A-Rod have the record than Bonds. My Tigers are starting to come around and Sheffield hit a home run tonight, so hopefully he's out of his funk.

Sox will win the East without a doubt this season. Jays will probably be the contender for them, if any.

The BoSox are looking outstanding so far, but we all know that those cuntbags from the Bronx always figure out a way to pull out of any shitty start they have. Their pitching staff has been beaten up and they'll be alot better once Pavano and Mussina get healthy, unfortunately, and Chien Ming Wang is already back from the DL.

No sooner do I say it then the bullpen gets tagged with both a blown save and a loss. The worst part is that it was two of our most reliable relievers, but these things are going to happen over a season and it's better sometimes to get it out of the way early than to lead to the inevitable collapse. I don't think the Sox will run away with the division, but for the first time since '04 I consider them the favorites and we know how that season turned out. As always, it's too early to know for sure, so I'm not excited yet. Just optimistic.

For the Doc's benefit, the Injuns are off to an awesome start and leading their division. I'm pretty sure they'll collapse around July and miss the playoffs, but I'm also pretty sure they'll be in a World Series before this decade is over. Sizemore is a bonafide stud and I'd take Sabbathia for my pitching rotation any day of the week.

I really find all the White Sox billboards in my neighborhood and all over the South Side annoying, but the one they put on 90/94 just by Wrigleyville is easily the best billboard on the Dan Ryan.

I'll have left Chicago by the time it matters, but having seen both the Sox and the Cubs get deep into the postseason here, I have to say that it's way more fun when the Sox do. Since I care more about that, I want to see the Sox do well.

Well, the Yankees played one hell of a game last night. Seattle had a field day, haha. I don't really see A-Rod breaking the season record. I think it would be pretty cool, but I don't think he's the guy to do it. Bonds, love him or hate him....agree or disagree, is one of the best athletes of his time.

I had a feeling before the playoffs started that the Sox would sweep the Angels and then get blindsided by a raging Indians team in the ALCS in 5 games or fewer. Hopefully that gut feeling was wrong.

We went 5-2 against the Indians and 8-10 against the Yankees, but I felt we were in a better position to beat the Yankees than we are to beat the Indians. That said, I'm not really panicking. Everything that's weak about the Sox (rotation past #1 & 2) is also weak about the Indians, plus the Sox have a better offensive lineup. Anything can happen in a 7 game series, though, and Cleveland's 1 & 2 are the best 1-2 punch in the American League, so I have to show respect.

ESPN has made a big deal about Boston being well rested going into the ALCS. I never put much stock in that argument. Rest didn't really help Detroit last year did it?

I look for Colorado to continue their hot streak and end Arizona's season in six games, but I don't believe they(or Arizona) have any chance against either team from the AL.

Man, Colorado looked great last night.

Sabathia vs. Beckett tonight. You couldn't ask for a better match-up.

Edit: I'm also looking forward to seeing Fausto Carmona pitch. He's apparently very, very fucking good.

Sox handled Carmona and Perez last night, but Schilling and the pen couldn't hold our leads. Hard fought game on both sides. I fell asleep after the 9th, so I never saw the Indians destroy our pen in the 11th. Good for me!

Apparently things got pretty bad here at UMassD last night. I wasn't here, so I wouldn't know. In fact, I missed some of the game because I was at work, a little bit more because I had to clean up after and feed 8 snakes, and a little more because I had homework. I saw the last 3 Red Sox runs score (along with all of the Rox runs), though, including every home run. No harm, no foul. I just wish I could have really payed attention to every pitch of every at bat. That's how baseball was meant to be.

The Rockies were just torn apart in the series, those young guys stood no chance. I'd be surprised if they even made the playoffs next year. Though, the end of this season and what they accomplished may be enough experience and encouragement for them to try even harder next season.

The Rockies got screwed by the 8 day break. The Red Sox went right into the series red hot, blood pumping (much like in '04). And the new primetime t.v. schedule made it a little unfair because it slightly elongated the Rox' break by having only one game played per night. The Rockies would have stood a much better chance otherwise.
