What the fuck, you guys are going to finish this RTT in less than a week.
If anyone cares, I've been gone for the past 4 days gigging with an orchestra. This coming weekend I'll go to San Antonio for TMEA for the same amount of time. So I'll just be on here for the next 3 days.

You can suck ass without having sold out.
Is your assignment more specific than 'Visual Arts'?

No specifics really as such, apart from dimensions, weight, etc. Basically any concept I want to deal with. I usually am pretty right with idea's and such, but I guess I cant think of something as its such an important assessment.
Yes, I enjoy Visual Art, and I know its worthless as an interest if I am not doing something I came up with, etc. Its different for this though as it's directly correlated to my final higher school mark.

I can't think of anything original for someone else. A route that might help is to think of a scientific experiment with no particular aim to it (i.e. something that you might do as part of an experiment, but not an actual experiment per se) and do it.
Example: an experiment in the 16th century having to do with the genesis of maggots (it was assumed that they were produced by rotting meat) consisted of leaving chunks of meat in three jars: one was left open, one was lidded, and one was covered in gauze. A few decades back, an artist took a cow's head and left it in an air-tight tank, letting it decay as a museum exhibit or gallery piece.
In any case, I can't really be more helpful if you're not more specific.

Hire out an old classic horror movie. Drop acid. There's your final work right there.
It's hard to be creative without limitations hey?

Sorry I can't be specific. Its that broad a subject at best, yet they dont have much of a direction to point us in. The aim is to get into an exhibition, with the highest marked works. So I hazard to guess, contemporary issues would go down well. Be that some type of global issue (I would bet my life on climate change popping up constantly), or something on a smaller scale.
To give you an idea of what others are doing, some are doing the usual 'teen angst' things, such as relationships and the like. Someone is doing portrait's of a boxer, and one doing 'around the world in 80 seconds' (about the access to the world via google earth). You see, nothing deep or complicated, but obviously they wont be the highest scoring works.
Thats a cool way to think of an idea too, maybe that will help.

Heh, I've seen some artists pretty fucked up mentally after years of that shit. But yeah totally, I agree that it would be much easier with some limitations. Reminds me, our art teacher did a test with the class at the start of the year. She said 'Draw a picture of your pencil'. So my class full of girls trying really hard to draw the most realistic pencil they could. Nice shading, different angles and even two pencils on top of eachother. It was obvious (to me) what the teacher was trying to do, so I drew some cartoon like, abstract looking pencils all over the paper.
When the class is done, she picks up the most perfect attempt at a 2D pencil I have seen. Shows it to the class, then picks up my one. Says, 'This will be the one that gets into Art Express'.
Heh, just reminded me of how stupid they were. If an art teacher asks you to draw something as simple as a pencil, they obviously arent looking for a pencil.

Not to mention the beginning of each RTT begins with who says cunt first then 10 people saying it then realizing its already been said. Then theres people later on that post about people trying to say cunt when an RTT thread opens. haha
I would imagine 100 RTT posts are "predetermined" hah.

other guy is Epitaph, he posts on here.
nah i dont really care about the post count thing, obviously it was done trying to get a rise out of the forum anyway. boring e drama
im glad to give some layman thoughts on beer i tried!
lets see. in london i had guinness on tap which was pretty good, went GREAT with my hearty meal. chick pot pie and a big pint of guinness. but it seemed really flat?
in finland i had a few beers. i had something that started with an s on tap, that was massively expensive. it was like 4,40 euro for a big pint. didnt strike me as that great. i also had a lot of Karhu which i think was my favorite beer of the trip. its made in a plaece called poro. it comes in those funny little finnish bottles, has a bad ass label, and is something you could drink 8 of and not start to resent.
in cologne theres a beer type called koelsch that i posted about. i tried a few different kinds. i had lion or sion on tap ( i cant read the label). it was really crisp and really easy to drink. really pleasant but not mindblowingly good. i also had frueh in a bottle, and it was good. i drank frueh in a kiddies park while there were kids on the playground and stuff, in germany and finland theres no open container law so you can walk around and drink beer in the middle of the day straight from the bottle.
i also tried some various liquors. i had gordins gin (gin and tonic) as well as bombay sapphire (gin and tonic). pretty good drink but id rather have beer. i had some kind of single malt scotch. it was ok but not something i would have all the time. i had gluggi or glog which was mulled spices with red wine and raisins heated up. thatw as a delicious drink, big fan. also i had (and bought) some salmiakki flavored liquor which is black licorice.
im also awfully jetlagged which explains me posting at 544 am

me too . i would assume it common, after all, its a very long process to grow out, yet its a very short, simple process to chop it right off! ive sat and wondered, before, of how i could possibly retaliate to someone who cut off my hair. ive had more dreams where it was gone then where it was nicer and looked better.

Haha, my band was asked to work on a soundtrack for some new Dutch horror/slasher movie that's going into the movie theathers/dvd release!
I wonder if it'll work out, if it does I'll post a rip from the movie with our sound

im glad to give some layman thoughts on beer i tried!
lets see. in london i had guinness on tap which was pretty good, went GREAT with my hearty meal. chick pot pie and a big pint of guinness. but it seemed really flat?
in finland i had a few beers. i had something that started with an s on tap, that was massively expensive. it was like 4,40 euro for a big pint. didnt strike me as that great. i also had a lot of Karhu which i think was my favorite beer of the trip. its made in a plaece called poro. it comes in those funny little finnish bottles, has a bad ass label, and is something you could drink 8 of and not start to resent.
in cologne theres a beer type called koelsch that i posted about. i tried a few different kinds. i had lion or sion on tap ( i cant read the label). it was really crisp and really easy to drink. really pleasant but not mindblowingly good. i also had frueh in a bottle, and it was good. i drank frueh in a kiddies park while there were kids on the playground and stuff, in germany and finland theres no open container law so you can walk around and drink beer in the middle of the day straight from the bottle.
i also tried some various liquors. i had gordins gin (gin and tonic) as well as bombay sapphire (gin and tonic). pretty good drink but id rather have beer. i had some kind of single malt scotch. it was ok but not something i would have all the time. i had gluggi or glog which was mulled spices with red wine and raisins heated up. thatw as a delicious drink, big fan. also i had (and bought) some salmiakki flavored liquor which is black licorice.
im also awfully jetlagged which explains me posting at 544 am

welcome back, what single malt did you try?
I'm a big single malt fan, I've got quite a collection over here!

Just took my first 2 exams of the semester...what a paranoid and long process of cheating one must accomplish when he does not study.

Just picture a little me in that thong sitting on your shoulder nagging at you to study or I'll never go away.
My ass is very pale, too.

The Glenlivet?
which age? those are not too bad.
(though not as good as my glenfiddich 21 years old cuban reserve )
My bro loves whisky and we're on the same page, he started a collection and I recently started my own as well.
There's whisky from 10 to 10.000 dollars. it's insane. Most of the ones I have are between 50 and 150. But it's not the stuff you chug away. You probably noticed that

how often do you drink shit like that? my ass would need another job to support my habit of drinking if i drank that stuff. my wallet is cringing just thinking about it.
i was gonna buy some 21 year old...(forget the name actually..scotch of some sort) for my little brother when he turned 21..but then i saw the price and just bought some good beers to bring with me, along with whatever i got him for his birthday and christmas since they are so close together.
sounds like you had a blast tranny. can't wait to see pics from the rest of the trip. i know i took a tone of pics when i was across the pond...its good to get back home..but it sucks too.

I think NY state has been cancelled. At least all along the lake. It's hitting here now. 10 degree drop since this morning and the wind and snow is starting now.

Tranz, you went all the way to England to have a Guinness? *shakes head in dismay*
Glad you made it back safely though.
I remember once when I was working full time I was right about to buy a bottle of $350cdn single malt...never did it unfortunately.

Ah yeah those little taster bottles. could have been glenlivet, or some fake stuff named allmost the same. (like chinese copies, you get the idea)
I hate how most stuff on a plane tastes, they really do serve some crappy meals. Oh and the seats are usually shitty but transcontinental flights are probably way better...

Mother Britannia definitely has some world class brews. But, in Tranz' defense..not being legal age in America is detriment to seeking out English microbrewed and cask-conditioned beer.
Anyways, SUCKA.

Well England is kinda gay with legal rules too. Or London, at least when I went there. I remember not getting into a pub for not having the right shoes. IN A FUCKING PUB!!??!
Some guys had to show their ID too. I didn't because I was too young to drink in the UK at that time. I got some friends that brought me beer, obviously. Those where the good days, now I'm old. fuck me.
Over here they're not that anal by the way. Anything goes. Only the posh clubs have a door policy and I know how to get in those as well.
Legal drinking age is 16 and drinking on the street/in the park is pretty much socially accepted in student cities like Utrecht and Amsterdam.

Over here you are more likely to get ID'ed at bars/pubs than the government liquor store oddly enough. I don't get ID'ed anymore at most liquor stores because I'm in there usually a few times a week. They ID practically everyone that looks under 30 at the casino while you're going in. Out of all the times I've been with my friends, everyone has been ID'ed. I've seen them deny a group of guys without ID before..and these guys had to be in their late 20's/early 30's.
At a local microbrewery, Propeller, I've never been ID'ed nor have seen them ID anyone before. lol.

Those pubs are known as 'shit pubs' ID'ing is still quite a hot thing- if a supermarket fails to ID an undercover kid trying to buy alcohol, they get in a lot of trouble, and it's all over the news like it's the worst thing ever.

i nkow this cool mexican guy that always sells me beer. all of summer he'd see me and my guitarist walk in there and walk out with at least two 40 oz. each and he would crack jokes in spanish about us. the clerk and his friends are always in there drinking and eating tacos from next door. hahah that guy is cool, be a shame if he gets in trouble, especially since its illegal on what hes doing. but oh well

Man, I've been making long playlistswith my songs on WMP. Bored as hell. I'm doing it by length; 3 minutes, 4 minutes, and so on. God, too many songs.

Glad to see Trans didn't get killed or jailed over seas. I had worries. That's good.
Seems he has a healthy start on some metal hair now. That is also good.
Looks like Trans is trying some booze. This is also a good thing.
Looks like Trans is becoming a man and learning the world,
BUT! Did trans meet any girls over seas, or just dudes?

Oddly enough, we deleted the RTT after being requested several times to do so, because the old one was slow as a stutterer's quip and had none of the possible fun of new names. It's funny you think we did it to provoke you, like an insecure pre-teen girl certain that Brett Parker ducked into the bathroom when she passed because she's fat and ugly and not because he had to reach the toilet before the cafeteria tacos made him shit his pants. As soon as we did it, most of the people bitching about it forgot that and started bitching about their post counts and going 'ooooh, what's Transient gonna do,' but it's really one of the more benevolent things we've done.
Why do people think Europe is dangerous? The dude went to Northern Europe in 2007, not the River Somme in 1916.

People are dangerous in nature no matter where you go. If you are different, you are interesting, new, fun, sexy, a threat to some, and easy target to others. More wars have been started by Europe than any other region of the world in recorded history, so hell yes! Europe can be very dangerous. Our Trans man could have got to know the wrong people very fast.... No more Transman
I had more people try to scam me in Europe than the rest of the world I've been... US included.

Scam you out of money, sure, though even that happens less often the farther North you go; Europe isn't one coherent entity (though more people try to scam me on my block than anywhere else I've been in the world, including nights spent with gypsies in open parks and days spent at Middle Eastern markets). But it's more dangerous to drive outside right now in any of the places I call home than it would be to visit some Northern European cities for a few weeks, and if he's equipped enough to survive any American city - and most of them aren't very dangerous either - he can probably hold his own in countries that make us look even more crime-ridden than we do.

Perhaps you do speak truth. I guess it is all about how you plan to enter any environment.
I always have a plan and backup plan to basically kill everyone I see just in case. Not that I want to kill, but I can prevent others from harming me by being aggressive enough, fast enough when the time is needed. It has saved me before. It's not a bad way to think about things when one knows all other options have failed.
I am very polite and easy going though.

Sounds like a military person. Did you get bugged by the Hey Joe's because you have that military look about you? That was always my ole man's problem. And in the Orient he was taller than most of them so a very easy target. they always assumed that if you're American or American military you're rich. In some instances like the Philipians, we are compared to them.
