Never watched Jerry Springer that much, but if it's anything like Maury, then Jerry can go to hell. I loathe talk shows, Maury above all. I don't mind what he does (exploiting), but he shouldn't be paid the money he gets to do it. Waste of money. And every episode is the same; angry white/ghetto trash.

Meh, rather watch All My Children. The acting is cheesy, but man, it's good tv. One guy now finds out his friend used his sperm years ago to bear her child. A rock star dude believes he is a lesbian. A guy is killing women with a drug. Another dude is still recovering from his last booze adventure (got drunk, forgot he was on the 4th floor in a hotel room, jumped out the window).

They both suck. I'm more of an Ellen or Montel person if I do watch. I knew a girl that was on Springer's show and she's a drama queen sometimes anyways. Take a subject and inflate it and that's their shows. Not my idea of a good time waster.
CTL- You should check out the Young and the Restless and the Bold and the Beautiful. Thy've been pretty cool lately and Y&R has history and murder stuff going on now.

Maury used to be "Decient" but then obviously he jumped on the jerry springer bandwagon and turned to purely... "i'm not the father" shows. Used to not be that way. oh well.
We used to watch maury in my world affairs class in high school it was hilarious. That class pwned.

Meh, I tried watching two soap operas at a time, only because characters from both were interacting with each other. But it just got too complicated. Plus, my dad knows I watch AMC, and I'm afraid watching another soap opera would confirm whatever beliefs he has about me being gay.

Most people on the forum chose the third choice because theyre trying to look like a hard ass through text because its GR1MM and KVLT to not watch american television, when really if theyre home alone and theres nothing to do, they will watch it for hours.
I chose springer because I like to watch midgets and transvestites fight, theres nothing wrong with that.
But I still dont go out of my way to watch the show, its a spurr the moment thing kinda.

I used to know somebody who could get you on the Springer show if you were willing to play whatever role they gave you. I sometimes vaguely regret not having taken that opportunity. Apparently it was easier to get on the show than to get tickets.
I've seen the Springer show a handful of times and the Maury show never. I keep expecting some PA to run onstage during one of the Springer fights and announce that he shot his own head off while offstage, but Jerry has apparently not yet realized that his soul has shrivelled down to the size of a gnat's erection. I'm not sure he'd even care if he realized.
But, honestly, there's always something better to do with your time than watch television. There are better things you can do with your television than watch scheduled programming (like watch a movie or throw it at an unsuspecting pedestrian). You're in a sad state when the best thing you can think of to do with an empty afternoon is fill it with brain-numbing tripe.
