yeah Mustaine's vocals sound nice...i just don't liek that little harmony you can hear in the background...I wish the song was faster...would be way fucking better. You are right about sounding old...I heard the power tab not knowing there was an actually release on the net...glad I gave it another chance...
albums I'm looking forward to? hmmm shit

Yea i agree on the speed but hopefully we will get the speed with the actual cd and some damn good solos. Guess his just trying to tease people .
Edit:
I hope he uses some exotic scales on this cd as on previous ones. He can tear those things up.

Needless to say the new Metallica is gonna be interesting...
Dimmu Borgir are putting a new one out this year, so far it SEEMS like it will be promising, though I doubt they can top anything before 'Spiritual Black Dimensions.'
New Hecate Enthroned as well is set for 2007... didn't like 'Redimus' though so we'll see.
I hope Mysticum finally puts out that damn 2nd album this year...
My biggest hope for 2007 is that the Kreator & Celtic Frost tour comes to the U.S.

New Morbid Angel, Nile and HE albums, maybe a new Immortal and Behemoth? The next Decapitated, Megadeth and Immolation maybe. The Suffo DVD too. Oh yeah and Kreator should be coming out with something soon too.

Besides Nile, I am also looking foward to the new Pig Destroyer and new Immolation. Also, I am hoping Deathspell Omega will finally finish their follow-up to SMRC.

Actual full length, they put the 7" on hold for now (those damn things were supposed to be out about a year and a half ago too)
From their offical website:
"We put the 7" single's series on hold until we complete the new full length this December. JR's already working on artwork wth John Baisley from Baroness."

Hell yes! Man I cant wait to hear how Vincent sounds back with his old crew. I heard some clips on him at Wacken and I thought he sounded pretty good. Im personally hoping for some more Domination style vocals from him, those were great

Well, I checked their website and it would indeed appear that they're releaseing an album in 2007. I don't think it will be early, though - probably autumn or winter time.

I like every DB material, and their first works sound different than after Mustis joined them. The reason lies in the keyboard melodies. Stian Aarstad used to play chord arpeggios most of the time (for example in Mourning Palace and in In Death's Embrace), Mustis plays chromatic lines in many songs (like Progenies of the Great Apocalypse, Blood Hunger Doctrine and in Absolute Sole Right). Also their guitar work changed. I think you cannot really say which of them is better, it is just a matter of taste.
But I am also looking forward to the next DB album.

I like Vincent a lot, but I really did enjoy the evolution of the band that came about Formulas. I'm not sure Tucker had anything to do with it, but he certainly was a great fit for the band musically. That being said, the band is pretty much Azagthoth and Sandoval, I think the bassist/vocalist is interchangable and the band would more or less be the same.

Yeah Vincent or Tucker, it makes no difference to me. I love all their albums equally, every album is like a whole new band IMO. FFtF is my fav. tied with Covenant and Altars, with Gateways n' Blessed tagging closely behind. And Heretic fucking rules. Never been a huge fan of Domination though, but it's cool as fuck too.

Plus new Gorgasm.

Haha....not really. They always kinda bored the hell out of me. Barnes can growl pretty well but the band as a whole is a big MEH.

I think Barnes sounds terrible these days. I could never stand Six Feet Under, and Torture Killer is even shittier.

Malevolent Creation will be releasing a new album in 2007 as well.....hopefully that will turn out to be pretty good.
EDIT: Ok so I just checked their site and the lineup for this album ("Doomsday X" is the name) is AWESOME
Jon Rubin - guitars
Phil Fasciana - guitars
Dave Culross - drums
Jason Blachowicz - bass
Brett Hoffmann - vocals (I actully prefer Jason's vocals, but Brett is 2nd best)
I'm so excited now

holy shit! amon amarth's new album (with oden on our side) really sealed off this year for me. the booklet and digipack are fucking AWESOME! texturized paper with smooth, slick print. the inner paper is very smooth and shiny. the album beats the hell out of Fate of Norns and most of Vs. the world, for me. and a nice little bonus disk, on top of everything, that i just discovered in the back panel of the pack 2 fuckin minutes ago! wonderful purchase.

Well it was originally said that Deadborns debut full length would be available by november 06, but that looks to have changed. So I guess we can expect Stigma Eternal to be released in 2007, I recall reading it will have 9 tracks. Can't wait!

New Opeth this next year? Interested to see how things change with Martin Axenrot.

+1.
Moonsorrow are touring Canada, highly unlikely I can do a 10 hour drive to the nearest location though.
