"Pierced..." it is. The first four songs are the arguably best they ever wrote and it's pretty much the only album where they didn't botch the production. |

The guitar tone does rule. It also the first Suffocation album where you can clearly hear every riff being played. Effigy and BtS can't claim that.
I also enjoy the bass so far up in the mix so I can always hear it. My favorite songs are on Breeding the Spawn, by the way.

Effigy of the Forgotten for me, too. To think that nothing - nothing - sounded like it at the time blows me away. One of the most brutal albums ever committed to record.
