Ohnoes, metalcore!
Behold, it is I, coming to you with a question. Out of pure curiosity, I want you to tell me what you think of this METALCORE band. Yes, you heard me right. Have a listen here:

Two songs on there are with their old vocalist and two with the new, from the newer album. Let me know what you think. Oh, and I don't like the song on the bottom that much. (faith in the faux)
Personally, I think they're great, but Im expecting flames, so get on with it!

The first band is absolute garbage. Vocals are as bad as they can get.
The second is marginally better, slightly technical bits at times but still... metalcore.

Becoming the Archetype is fucking awesome (minus the vocals) and the other band was pretty cool but nothing special.

There's a band called NODES OF RANVIER??? FUCK. We're out of ideas as a species, it seems.
Future suggestions for metalcore bands:
Myelinated Murder
Dendritic Destruction
Ionic Channel Chaos
Action Potential of Amen-Hotep
Neural Flossing With Gay Hair
Pork Icecream for Jesus
etc.

If you want a mixture of Hardcore and Metal listen to Anthrax. This new wave of generic bad metalcore are people who want to be a death metal band but suck too much. No Hardcore Punk in it at all, just really really bad metal.

A friend of mine has a Becoming the Archetype CD, its pretty good aside from the vocals. Nodes of Ranvier suck.
