Florida death metal

Anyone have some names to recommend me from the Florida death scene? I prefer old school but Ill take whatever. Im a big fan of all those bands...Atheist, Cynic, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Brutality, Malevolent Creation, Monstrosity, Obituary, Broken Hope, Deicide, Death (and please dont reply to this thread with some assholish response telling me how Cannibal Corpse is actually from New York or how Cynic is more progressive than anything else, etc)

i'm a fan of the old Florida scene (though i'm getting more inclined to tech DM lately).

you pretty much named all the important bands.

I was afraid of that I was hoping there were a few more underground bands that I mighta missed out on

Tech death is great but I just love that low production thrashy sound Florida offers. Psycroptic is probably my fav tech death band ATM

Um, No. Malevolent Creations first album is one of my Florida DM faves.

Malevolent did move to Florida after a year so they should count.

Any word on the new Goatwhore album? I'm thinking about getting it but I have never heard anything from them. People have been saying its as brutal as it is catchy. So it is either really good or really bad, ha.

Yeah they're from Tampa, and I highly recommend checking them out. One of the first, if not the first, death metal bands to incorporate keyboard and sound effects into their music.

Really good band, I like the way they throw in short solos all over the place.
