Making a speaker box for my car
hI already have 2 subs in a box in my trunk (i have an SUV so its connected aith the interior of my car.) and i have small 4" speakers in the stock mount areas. I was thinking on buying a 300watt amp and putting 8 5" speakers in a box to produce loud mids and highs. so my car is actually loud and not just thumpin. Which would be killer for metal. Anyone see any flaws in this. I just really wonder how this will work because ive never heard of it being done before. My subs will be pointed at a 45 degree angle towards the rear while my 5"s will be 45 degrees towards the front.

you should have it thumpin....until you want the treble to come through, so you can roll up on some niggas....then scare the hell out of them.

I got all 9" in my project car (minus subs) and it sounds wicked for bloodbath! Sounds better for As I lay dying, Unearth tho. Niggs beware!

once you get into the higher end speakers, amps and decks, you should be able to equalize your system to make anything sound good.

Ahh killer i have it set up, it looks awesome. and its loud as fuck. But i have a dilemma, I have 4 gauge wire running from the battery to my power distribution block, which has two 8 gauge outs. The recommended gauge for one Amp is 8 gauge and for my second amp the recommended gauge is 4. Power distribution blocks really only come in 4 gauge in 2 8 gauge out. will using 8 gauge instead of 4 cause some bad problems? or should it be okay?
