Career in the guitar business...
Does anyone know what one would do as a prerequisite, desiring to work for an amp manufacturer? I am thinking an electrical engineering degree would suffice but i am not sure...thanks for any replies, hopefully they are helpful.

I would imagine that would be as close as you can get.. as far as ... hands on goes. I would imagine that some sort of ... like audio engineering/ audio physics type of major would help as well.
To be honest alot of companies just having a degree somewhat in that field (as long as your unexperienced) is a step in the door. Just getting into a company is probably how you get to where you want to go.

I think you could just call a 1800 for any brand of amp and talk to one of the people that answer and ask them questions.Ive done before for networking.Lol the person how i was talking to was fucking laughing thier ass off.

A applied science degree in electronics engineering/wiring would definetly be good for your resume I'm sure. Aside from that, any other examples of your experience i.e. amps you've modded/worked on/repaired wouldn't hurt either.
