Helstar
Fantastic band from Texas, they've had many releases (Remnants of War - Nosferatu are all fan-damn-tastic) and they never got the coverage they deserved. Sounds a lot like old Fates Warning or Heathen. Does anyone other than me listen to them...

Hell yeah man! They played fairly close to my hometown last month, but I couldn't get there for it.

yeah theyre guitar work is amazingly tight, i mean theyre extremely fast while still having big riffs and cool fills and stuff.
i saw em live last year with agent steel and skelator, and man the singer kicks so much more ass live than on cd, its amazing

I got Distant Thunder. I find the vocals are a bit bland but otherwise it's enjoyable. Sounds also a bit like Metal Church and Coroner.

Hell yea, they are a sweet ass band. Ive only been listening to them for a few months now, but i am very impressed. Why is it that amazing bands like these dont get the reconigition they deserve???
@Hidrio- I would say either Burning Star or Nosforatu would be a good album to start off with

I had one of their cassettes back in the 80's and I was so young I can't remember which one it was. I do remember in the liner notes they lamented light beer because "it tastes great but doesn't fuck you up". It was pretty good thrash from what I remember. I didn't know they were even still around, but I guess I'm gonna have to listen to them again.
