Now that is said, I want to know what bothers you. Ranging from teeny tiny pet peeves to irrational fucking psychotic hatreds (which there is a fine line between the two), whatever it is.

I'll start. Since I have to get some sleep, I'll only leave you with this peeve that eats away with me;

Noob guitarist who constantly play that fucking easy riff from Deep Purple's "Smoke on the water." Y'know the one? And then they go around talking about how it's one of the coolest riffs to play. I know, they are new at this and it'll take them a while to realize the coolest riff to play is the opening riff to "Hammer Smashed Face" (This may be based on opinion, I will not say for sure), but it's just gets to me. That and that riff from Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love."

There's an easy way to deal with the "smoke on the water" syndrome.....I've done it several times.

Let them play theirs.....then ask to let them hear your version.
Then start off like they did.....like a drone banging out the chords....and after a couple times....start getting brutal on them....every couple of times you run through it keep pumping it up harder and harder.... show them that a simple over used riff can actually have some creability when METAL is applied to it.

Same with Iron Man.....almost anyone can play that on day one.....but a true metal head guitarist can whip it into shape.



OK...you ask what are the little things that bother us?
For me it's the gay sigs half you guys use.....I dont care to read some line from a song you think is oh so important that it must be in our faces everytime we see your post. Some line from a famous poet or writer.....fucking trite....and yours my friend..is gay times 100
