iTune users, i need some help with EQ
Hey guys, i was wondering if any of you use iTunes for your metal music, cause i do, but i have a hard time finding some good EQ settings, cause the premade ones suck so badley.
So if you think you have some good settings, please post the setting.

I'm about to get an ipod for the first time and I was just wondering......what happens when you upload a song from a CD that skips on the CD? Does it skip on the ipod as well?

Well it depends on how the out come is, cuase you have to rip the cd to your harddrive first, before you can get the files onto the ipod.
So if your cdrom or dvd drive is good enough and can rip the cd without including the scratches then our ok. But if the drive reads it like it would on a normal cd player, then the output file will have the skips in it too.

if you experience any skipping on a CD goto preferences in itunes and under the tab importing select error correction. this usually will do the trick.

Sweet. If I may ask another question, does a 60 GB ipod seem like too much room? Do you know anyone who has almost filled up a 60 gig?

Well i have the 30 GIG and beleave me thats room enough. I have 29 GB on my puter alone, and 482 cds on the shelf, but any sane person wouldent want to put 29GB (13 days straight out music) onto your iPod, cause you dont need that much music on it, cause you dont listen to all of it any how.
See i have right now on my 30GB iPod, 840 songs thats 2.6 days of straightout music if you dont sleep, and that takes up just abit over 5gigs on the iPod.

i filled up my 15 gig...and i have about 32 on my cpu. and i listen to 90% of it at some point or another during any given month. even if you aren't listening to all of it all the time its nice to have it all there.

On apple's website, it said that a 60 gig can hold 15,000 songs. They also said they define a song as 4 minutes of data. So if i was to put the 15 minute "Unas, Slayer of the Gods" on there, that would count as almost 4 songs, right?

Hey Blood Red, I'd advise against an iPod. There are better products out there, check out some Creative or iRiver players, and get one with a battery you can change. If the battery on an iPod dies, there's no way of replacing it short of sending it back to Apple.

Why is the ipod so popular then? Not having an ipod now is almost as rare as someone not having a cell phone.

Marketing originally, but now it's the fact that everyone and their dog has one, giving off a false sense of quality.

Well is the battery dilema the main reason or can the other brands hold more data for a cheaper price as well?

It's the main reason for me, but yes, there are other players which offer a higher capacity for the same/lower price.
