Fathers Day is made up in all countries. Fathers who do what they're supposed to do (i.e. be fathers) should be getting recognized for it, privately, every day, not just on the one arbitrarily assigned to them by the government of whatever country they happen to be living in.

When people are arguing about whether or not their country decided that heat is, in fact, hot, then you sometimes have to state the obvious.
Plus I think that Father's Day is bad specifically for the reason that assigning a specific day to something that should be an everyday activity tends to make people believe it's only to be done on that day. Some cliched 'dad' gift once a year doesn't really cut it. Same for Mother's Day.
The crazy black dude who lives next door walked around yesterday yelling about how it was 'MAN'S DAY! Now get me a beer, woman' at everybody who'd stop or slow down to listen. Nobody got him a beer.
