Wrong. Shut up. And, in the future, keep the fuck out of a thread if you have nothing more to say in it than that. Or, failing that, keep the fuck out of every other thread for a week.
FS, you forgot to charge everybody money for the privilege of listening to your demo.

we have two songs on myspace, you cocksucker
i like funeral a lot. i would have expected straight viking metal from you, but this is good. your vocals are kind of low in the mix and arent entirely appropriate for the riffing going behind it. cool though. howd you get on a label, or is it your own

Thanks alot guys. The label is my own, though I could get signed if I wanted to. The thing is, every offer I have gotten is shit. It's beneficial to the label and not me, the artist. To them I am nothing more than a product. However these are shitty local labels.

The only good offer I have had so far was guaranteed 75-100 shows a year. But the distributor would own the rights to my music, which is not a good thing. But hey, you had Muhammed comment on your playing in a good way.

The actual music is pretty decent, but the vocals aren't my kind of thing.

Hey! Leave the fact that I suck cock out of this!
The tone's not really that bad. It sounds appropriate to the obvious Maiden influence. Incidentally, you should put them as one of your influences. This is pretty good.
As for labels, and this goes without saying, but never sign something that makes you lose the rights to your music. The music industry essentially exists to suck small bands dry because all the business sense is on one side of the table. If you're not getting serious offers, don't even think about getting signed until way down the line if at all.

One of the screams sounded like Aakerfeldt? I guess that's cool. And MTM, where did you get the Viking idea from?

Darin Zanyar - Unbreak My Heart
Don't leave me in all this pain
Don't leave me out in the rain
Come back and bring back my smile
Come and take this tears away
I need your arms to hold me now
The nights are so unkind
Bring back those nights when I held you beside me
(chorus)
Un-break my heart
Say you'll love me again
Un-do this hurt you caused
When you walked out the door
And walked outta my life
Un-cry these tears
I cried so many nights
Un-break my heart, my heart
Take back that sad word goodbye
Bring back the joy to my life
Don't leave me here with this tears
Come and kiss this pain away
I can't forget the day left
The time is so unkind
And life is so cruel without you here beside me
(chorus)
Don't leave me in all this pain
Don't let me out in the rain
Bring back the nights when i held you beside me
Un-break my heart
Say you love me again
Un-do this hurt you caused
When you walked out the door
And walked outta my life
Un-cry these tears
I cried so many, many nights
Un-break my, unbreak my heart
Oh baby, come back and say you love me
Un-break my heart sweet darling
Without you I just can't.. go on
I can't, i can't
goooohnooo

It's a real drummer. I don't like programming drums, it takes too much time. I jammed out with the original line-up on four songs today. Maybe a re-union is on it's way.

Suggestion?
Get rid of the metalzone, its giving your distortion a "static" sound instead of what i personally think it should have. It would be much heavier with a more throaty type of grunge. The drums kick ass, the vocals are ok but waay to quiet. Be confident and turn them up

I didn't mix any of it. This was done in a studio. So far this has been the only forum that doesn't bash on the vocals, and suprisingly instead the critique the drums. I don't know what else to use so until someone shows me the light I'm using my metal zone through a marshall dsl150. The amp is incredibly awesome, but without a stompbox it lacks alot of gain.

Crank it when you record. If thats not enough, trade your mt2 for a TS9,Maxon OD808 or even a ds-1,rat or muff.
You will love the the difference.

A lot of people have mentioned it, this ever-haunting metal zone pedal. Let's just say it one more time: You can't beat a true tube amp.
Bash down on the vocals? Pft. Those can't have been real metal heads... gosh, now I felt br00tal, yat-yat-yat.
I'd say you have something solid to build on. All round a good feel and it didn't immediately have me thinking PLAGARISING. And do turn up the vocals.
Funny really, all this nice stuff popping up on myspace of all places.

Plagarising? Why would that be one of the first things to come into your mind. I write all my own stuff. Of course, the main riff on Funeral Moon in the Valley is similar to that same riff Iron Maiden used 40 times but who the fuck cares. It's a series of notes, it's not like you can own soundwaves lolsnake.

Notice the "didn't" before "plagarising". I have found, you see, that when I browse the internet for bands I haven't heard before, one depressingly usual reason to cut the sound and move on is because someone else has already done it better.

Jesus christ, the music is good so far but the guitar tone is shit. Who cares!? I'm playing old school death metal, hell it should sound like it was recorded in a sewer.
